An 11x15x2 cake was cut in half and stacked. Filling is 2 layers of pineapple and one of sliced, fresh bananas with the cake being strawberry. Iced w/buttercream; airbrushed. 6x3, 8x3 and 10x3 covered with light blue fondant. The shells were made with gumpaste but can be made with fondant. I used several different luster dusts to color the shells. Pearls were made with fondant and dusted with pearl dust. Coral I made years ago with a heated sugar mixture and royal icing. I think it is called rock sugar. I used raw sugar for my sand. I used the new Wilton Cakes and More Cake Stand.

This was a last minute (2 day notice) cake and as we all know little mermaid isnt too popular anymore so I couldnt find any toys or cake toppers anywhere. My brother found these in Houston they went to a leggo set and drove them to me in Lake Charles. It was a life saver! I think it came out pretty good for such short notice! All the shells are chocolate.

Did this cake this weekend for mother's 60th BD. Cake is chocolate with Peanut Butter icing. Shells are fondant and chocolate, stones are jelly beans. Also used dragees, pearls, green buttercream for seaweed, crushed Nilla Wafers for sand. My mom was specific about cake and icing and wanted a bear on the cake, so I made one from fondant and hid it among the shells for her to find.

This is my first wedding cake. Sea shells are made of marbled white/dark chocolate using a variety of candy molds. Coral is also chocolate. To make the coral, I placed waxed paper over a template and piped the melted chocolate over the template. 14/10/6 inch rounds. Buttercream frosting. Groom preferred vanilla and bride preferred chocolate (of course), so each tier is half chocolate cake and half vanilla cake with a sinful chocolate fudge filling.

Also another one of my mother's cakes. This one was for her friends grandson's second birthday. She used the baseball mold to make the fish and fondant for the fins. To a two year old this is Nemo, but to any one else its Nemo who needs to go on a diet. He's still cute.

The tier sizes are 14, 10 & 6. This was set up on a boat that would cruise a local lake for a few hours. I hope it stayed together!
The bride provided the fishbowls and everything in them (aquarium stuff like seashells, plastic plants & a fish (NO, I would NOT let her use real fish! as she wanted to) Shells are molded candy melts.

i hated this cake. the customer wanted whipped icing and sprayed with color from a can instead of just colored. i think it gives it a cheap look. She had chocolate sea shells and nemo toys to put on at the party

I made this for my daughter's 5th birthday this weekend, we had an Ariel party. I marbeled the fondant to look like water, the bottom layer darker than the top because it's "deeper." I used brown sugar for sand and made the flowers out of fondant. The seaweed is buttercream and the seashells are chocolate (Wilton candy mold). The cake is yellow with regular buttercream.

This was my first time doing a b/c transfer and I was proud of the way it turned out, however, when I took it out to transfer it onto the cake, it broke into pieces. I think it came out pretty good all things considered.

This is a chocolate cake, with chocolate and raseberry filling...topped with chocolate frosting and covered in fondant. All details are fondant. I used plastic figurings since I was short on time, and used brown sugar for the sand look. Everyone said it was yummy, and my nephew loved it! He's a HUGE Spongebob fan!

Princess Ariel cake I made for my daughter's fifth birthday. The bottom cake is a 14" petal shape, yellow cake with rasberry filling. I used the wondermold for the top (yellow cake too). All icing is BC. The photo doesn't show the colors very well, but they were various shades of blue and green. Sebastian and Flounder are plastic toys I found at the Disney Store. Thanks for looking :)
