This is a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and filling. It was lots of fun to make. This was my 2nd cake. I torted it into 4 layers. It gave me a chance to practice lots of skills. Lots of Rosette practice.

The following 4 cakes including this one are for a shopping bazaar here in Misawa, Japan. This cake is yellow, with raspberry filling, and almond icing. This cake is my favorite design. The rose-like flowers are rosette swirls (to resemble raspberries) done in tip 30.

This cake is four, 1 inch layers of cake. When assembled, it looked really high. Chocolate cake with chocolate mocha buttercream and ganache filling in between layers. The scrapes of this cake were tested many times. YUM YUM.

I made this cake for my grandma because she loves blue. This was my second time to do the basketweave so it was good practice. She loved the cake so much she wouldn't let us eat it for a whole day, she said it was to pretty to cut. Once we cut it it was gone in a few hours, blue cake is yummy :-)

Triple Fudge Cake with Raspberry filling and Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. This cake was for a man so I didn’t want to decorate with flowers. I piped the chocolate rosettes and thought it looked nice. This is a very rich cake.

This is my most recent cake and the one I'm most proud of. I made it for my sister in law who was visiting on her way moving to conneticut. It was a cinnamon cake with chocolate frosting. requested by her. I only had a few hours in the evening and in the morning to do this one. I think it came out really great and I'm so happy to have finally made a pretty cake.

This is not the first cake I've done, but it's definitely the first that I could show in public. I just started taking my classes and was "practicing". Any suggestions and tips are welcome. Hope to be creating some eye-poppers for you all soon!

5 year old made a simple request wanted pink and purple flowers. Cake is oval with BC covered in Rolled BC and accents are done in rolled BC. There is a floral wire with some bead work and birthday flag as well. Cake was torted and filled with chocolate buttercream. Pretty simple cake, but the 5 year old loved it.... I just wished she had challenged me a little more :)
