This was the first wedding cake I've ever done. I just finished setting it up and I'm anxious for the big day tomorrow! As nerve racking as it was I'd definitely do it again!

There are royal icing roses all around the top of each cake (probably jsut under 200). The roses are white with 1/3 tinted purple and another 1/3 tinted yellow. There are tiny doves on the cake and the rose buds on the top and in the middle are silk. Thanks for looking!

I was so frustrated with this cake.  The icing in-between the layers of the top tier kind of oozed out of one side.  So I had to smooth it out upon delivery.  My icing would not get smooth. I used the VIVA paper towel and that would not help. The bride wanted off white with light pink roses. My MMF pearls were darker than the icing. URHHHH! I am just glad that is over. Overall, I guess it was okay for my first wedding cake.

THese cookie bouquets were centerpieces for the tables at the reception.  Clay pot sprayed white with purple brushed on bottom and sittling on purple tulle.  Cookies on long lollipop sticks and pot filled with white tulle and Hershey's Kisses scattered on table and a few in pot.

This was my final cake for my Wilton III class. I was inspired by the cake on the cover of the Wilton's Romantic wedding cakes book. I am making a cake for my brother-in-law's wedding this June. I took the Wilton classes to get ready for his wedding cake. His future bride saw the photos of this cake and absolutely loved it and wanted it for their wedding. It will be a 3-tier version of this one. I used my homemade marshmallow fondant and made the gum paste roses myself. That was so much fun!

The cake is frosted with off-white buttercream. Buttercream roses and leaves decorate the top borders of all tiers. The bottom borders are wide ruffles of buttercream overpiped with cornelli lace.
  The entire cake is elevated 2-inches. The tiers are separated with floating pillars cut to allow 1-1/2" separation. Roses and petals of orange, rust and gold with accents of baby's breath are placed between the tiers and under the bottom of the cake.

This is my first ever wedding cake. Each of the three cakes have a different flavoring (the larger cake is vanilla almond with cherry pie filling, one of the smaller two is chocolate chocolate chip with dark chocolate mousse filling, and the other of the smaller cakes is a red velvet cake with raspberry preserve filling). All three cakes are decorated with roses that match the colors of the wedding. The entirety of all three cakes are buttercream, including air-dry buttercream for the roses.

This design is actually a combination of specific aspects of different cakes the bride liked.  Even the cake topper is made of all edible materials.

This was the very first wedding cake I ever made.  I started decorating cakes in December and made this in May.  It's yellow cakes with bc and mmf roses.  It took me 17 hours to complete.  It was a big relief to get it delivered and set up!

Tier sizes are 14, 10, 10 and 6".  Everything is buttercream.  Displayed on a Bakery Craft's Single use stand covered w/fabric.

All buttercream, real roses & brown ribbon.  Delivered & assembled in 91-degree heat!  It was champagne cake with strawberries & whipped cream filling.

This is my first attempt at gum paste flowers.  I made the roses and a few filler flowers plus the leaves.  The cake is buttercream covered with fondant and then buttercream accents.  I just recently purchased the impression mat and am slowly getting used to using it.

I covered this cake with white chocolate fondant that I made from scratch. The roses are made of the same fondant. The lace look is achieved by piping the design onto the fondant with royal icing. The cake is chocolate filled with chocolate ganache.

This is the first tiered cake I did. I was in a rush so I used silk roses, but i love the beautifuly contrasting colors. I never expected the colors to pop like they did!

My first paid wedding cake! YAHOO!  It was for a friend, but you have to start somewhere!  I used MMF for the roses and the cake.  Amazingly, I bought the ribbon before I made the roses and it was a perfect match!

This was my first wedding cake. I was very pleased with how it turned out. Every tier is a different flavor. The wedding party loved it too. It is decorated with fresh roses.
