This was my first attempt at MMF roses. I bought the Wilton rose kit and it was super easy. I could not for the life of me make royal icing roses, so this was a great alternative for me!

The cake is a 10"x3" torted and iced in buttercream. The roses on top are buttercream (I froze for easier handling) and the flowers on the side are royal and pressed into a bc swag. The only thing I wasn't happy with were the rose stems and the bow. The stems weren't "gathered" correctly, and the icing for the bow was too thin and it collapsed in on itself on the right. I tried to fix both. Hopefully with so many flowers, no-one will notice!

This was ordered by a woman for her birthday. She requested no writing or anything, but flowers on top. She also chose the colors. I'm very proud of this for my first try at a "Flower Cake" Thanks for looking!

I did this 4-inch cake for an office birthday mate. It's Devilsfood, but I forgot to use a filling, which was stupid. All the icing is buttercream. Please feel free to email me at with WHO WANTS CAKE in the subject line.

Customer wanted something bright and flowery. This was my first time to use a diamond impression mat and I really loved using it. The cake is an 8" two layer round with BC. The buterfly is a paper cutout, glittered and covered in contact paper. They customer came by my office and said it was the best cake and everyone loved it. Just made my day!!!!!!!!!!!

I made this cake for a friend at work, it's her birthday tomorrow and this is for our morning tea. It's a buttercake, with caramel, cream and peaches. Covered in fondant and buttercream roses and swirls.
Inspired by the beautiful cakes made at New York's Cupcake Cafe.

Just another Wilton Class cake for a little princess. Very easy to make and turns out cute. The little pearls can hide imperfections.

I haven't done anything with decorating for a year and have only taken the first two Wilton classes. So this was my first actual cake I have ever done. I got the design from the Wilton Tiered Cakes book. It was definately a learning experience and I had some tense moments as I delivered it. It was so hot and all I could do was sit and watch the frosting slide off. I was able to do some quick repairs and I think it turned out okay and the people loved it, I guess that is what matters.

This was made for a friend's birthday. There were 12 sugarpaste roses, a little fairy guarding the roses and butterflies. The flower pot didnt turn out too well as it was my first try..but managed to hide some of the flaws. Next time round I wont roll the sugarpaste too thin.

Did this one today at work...only second time I have made fondant roses. I think they look ok as far as "sugar roses" but compared to the realistic ones many of you know how to do, I have a long way to go!!!!!
