This is my nephew's creation. It was sort of a Mississippi Mud cake recipe and I added marshmallow creme to the buttercream. Chopped up Hershey's S'mores bars on top with walnuts and drizzled melted chocolate and also sprinkled between 4 layers. Lordy Mercy the calories!

I just did this for fun. I was trying to get a tall winding road effect, but it didn't turn out real well. It was fun though.

This was a suprize for my friend's birthday. Got the idea from Jenn123's cake. My friend has a thing with possums...alive or dead! She loved the cake & told me she wanted a bigger one for her wedding (not engaged, lol)! It was red velvet inside, with cream cheese icing (used the spatula striping method with a grass tip for the fur). MMM for the head, feet, and tail. I used melted white chocolate and color dabbed all over the head and tail for added "fur." I'm really happy with it except the tire mark...

12" Marble w/BC. I made this cake for our family picnic, in our old small hometown on Route 66, where we grew up. Everyone loved it. This is my 4th time using bct, getting a little better at it.

This entire cake was done in buttercream, with the exception of the poppies that were made with royal icing. The ruby slippers are made using the Wilton Ballet Slippers pan and pillars were used to make them look like they had heals.

This was a graduation cake I made this past weekend for a few friends of my daughters. The cake itself was strawberry with creamcheese filling. The decorations were made with gum paste and then covered with edible images. The tire tracks on the cake were made from rice paper. Yes there is a long story behind the decorations as they represent something that happened to each of them.

A white chocolate cake with white chocolate/lemon buttercream. Pastillage helmet painted with luster dust. Chocolate transfer and fondant signs. Fondant highway. Can of Wilton airbrush spray (smelled like mint....wonder how that'll taste with lemon and white chocolate...) I'm thoroughly disgusted with it, but my DD likes it.

I was asked to do a cake from the cars movie for a friend's 1st birthday. After much internet research I came up empty-handed. I had to look to my own brain for inspiration - Yikes! After I made this cake, I found that Wilton now has a Cars cake pan. These are yellow cakes with Buttercream Icing (althought the road is chocolate Buttercream).

I used my slot machine cake pan to make the cake. I frosted it with white buttercream. Black road, yellow lines on road and red letters are fondant. Grass done in buttercream with grass tip. Road outlined with yellow buttercream. Cars are hot wheels cars that the birthday boy got to keep! He loved it.

This cake really did not turn out how i planned. It was my first sculpted cake and i made it when I came home from a wedding late at night after I had a few glasses of champagne. So..... it turned out being more cartoonish than realistic, but either way my cousins husband absolutely Loved it! It was a suprise cake for his birthday, a little replica of his award winning El Camino.

Retirement cake for our school principal. I wanted to use "Goodbye tension, hello pension" without getting too detailed. I thought it turned out good. The car and money bags are made of white and milk chocolate painted with luster dust. The sides aren't really buckling. I used that Wilton spray and it ended up looking funny like that. I tried to smooth it out, but it didn't work.

This is a yellow chiffon cake with a whipped chocolate ganance filling. It is iced all in buttercream and the fondant decorations were either airbrushed or handpainted. The client wanted this cake for her husband's 40th birthday. She kept telling him she was going to buy him a Porsche for his mid-life crisis, so this is what he gets...a trip down memory road and a rice krispy made Porsche!

Cake for a man turning 40. Wife wanted over the hill theme. Cake is Finnish recipe since he comes from Finland. Thanks to Jan H and Jenni (aka karurislapsi) for the recipe ideas. Each cake is 4 layers filled with whipped cream, strawberries and pineapple. Loved the cake posted by rstml, so TRIED to duplicate her ideas- thanks for the inspiration! Fun to include stuff like college logo, palm trees (CA), buckeye trees (now live here in OH), kids as exit signs and an old man hanging on in back!
