One of our pharmacists is retiring, and I was asked to bring the cake. I got lots of ideas from the folks here on CC (Thanks!!). All chocolate half sheet cake, iced in buttercream to look like one of our doctor order sheets we see all too often downstairs in the pharmacy. The patient identifier sticker and STAT sticker are fondant w/ foodoodle marker. Complete with messy doctor handwriting.

This cake was made for a Co-worker who was throwing her dad a Retirment party. I experimented with the camo, and it didn't turn out very well, but I will know how to do it the next time!

Retirement cake for our school principal. I wanted to use "Goodbye tension, hello pension" without getting too detailed. I thought it turned out good. The car and money bags are made of white and milk chocolate painted with luster dust. The sides aren't really buckling. I used that Wilton spray and it ended up looking funny like that. I tried to smooth it out, but it didn't work.

This was a full sheet with the motor home made from parts of cake cutout from my cross cake. I was pretty happy with the outcome. The pastor is retiring and he and his wife are going to travel in their RV, so the congregation thought this would be a neat idea for him!

Another View!!

This cake was created in 3 hours (not including baking time!), so it's not one of my best. It was made for a man's retirement party. He was Administrator of the Alcohol and Drug Department in a local county for 25 years. Soooo, as you can imagine, I used lemon extract with the luster dust rather than vodka! LOL!!!!!

The cakes are covered in MMF. The Post-It Notes are MMF, too! I used an edible black pen to write on them.

My first FBCT. It's a retirement cake for my grandmother (who always made my birthday cakes growing up) She still makes cakes for everyone and now I am too! Its a 9" round chocolate almond with all vanilla BC. Had trouble crumb coating and got a little messy. Lots of flaws, still a beginner, but I've come a long way. Still learning to pipe!

Cake made for our pastor's retirement. WBH Orange Butter Cake with Orange Mousse filling. Placques on the side are chocolate. Frosted in buttercream. Had to fix it at work because the filling was too soft; top layer had slid during the commute! The sides were supposed to be smooth - oh well!
