The only thing I had to go on was that there was no theme but her napkins had circles on them. This is what I came up with. I made the letters to look like they had lighted wicks on the top (candles).

First I must thank sugarshack for her beautiful cake that inspired this design. I did add an extra layer and changed the pink to orange. I think it turned out pretty well.

I made this cake for my sister-in-law's birthday. The martini glass is an actual glass and is filled with jello shots. It's hard to tell in the pic but the glass has pink polka dots. Cake is vanilla with fresh strawberry filling and whipped frosting under MMF.

I made this cake for a neighbors 7th birthday party. Her theme was polka dots so I iced the cake with butter cream icing. Then simply I used round cut-outs to make the polkadots from the rolled fondant. Her name was freehand. It was a little more difficult. Seeing the birthday girls face made it all worth the hard work.

Four Layers of crazy wedding cake construction.
The bottom and top layers are red velvet with cream cheese icing/filling and the two middle layers are vanilla cake with buttercream icing/filling. The whole outside of the cake was covered in Marshmallow Fondant and buttercream decorations. I wouldn't say it's completely professional quality, but for my first time dealing with the fondant and working 46 hrs last week...I was happy :) and so were the guests!!!!

This didn't come out like I had pictured in my head! I didn't have enough buttercream on my cake so you can see the chocolate cake underneath. I didn't get it smooth either. I wanted a tablecloth effect on top but ehh....oh well. It was a learning experience and I improve with every effort.

I made this cake for my little girl's 2nd birthday. It is my first cake to make. I made royal icing and added extra powdered sugar to make the polka dots. I rolled the icing out flat and then used lids to cut the circles.

This was my first attempt at fondant bows. A learning experience to say the least. White cake with strawberry filling. Buttercream with fondant accents. I didn't have enough purple fondant for the ribbons, so I painted the white strips. Next time I'll do it right.

This was my practice run for my daughter's second birthday cake. The letters are sugar cookies, iced and sprinkled with colored sugar. The buttercream is tinted orange. I decorated the rest of the cake with India Tree Pretty Pink Bubbles, bubblegum flavored candies. The cake itself is chocolate with chocolate whipped cream filling. Yum!

My own birthday cake, 2 layer 9 inch Funfetti cake with rainbow chip frosting. My FAVORITE! All MMF decorations, I was going to have a fondant loop bow on top, but even though the loops were hung to dry out a week ago, they were still too soft, so they just collapsed on me. So, I just improvised and made this bow instead. This was my first time using Luster Dust, and I am in love with it. :D
It is an encouragement though, that this cake is SUCH an improvement from last year's bday cake. (in my gallery)

This is the cake I made for the day of my DD's BDay. Just used the leftover fondant from her party cake, tried a new BC recipe and it was so much easier to smooth than her party cake. Pay no attention to the "M", I did that with a ziplock bag (need to buy tips). I still need to work on my smoothing, I think its ok for my 2nd cake though!

This cake was my first attempt with fondant. Didn't go so well! My sister liked it. She wanted something fun for her 21st bithday and this is what I came up with. I thought it was too busy, but she is a busy type of girl!

these tree cakes are made after an example the customer found right here on cakecentral. I do not remember the orriginal maker( it was sugar shacks, thanks cocobean!) but want to thank her/him anyway.
Cakes are spongecake covered in chocolatefondant(Bakels)wich I mixed 1 on 1 with marzipan. The bows and dots are Marzifond.
There were two parties so I could not stack all three together unfortunately.

Cake I did for a special friend for her "shower" - I really just wanted her to know which theme I want her to do in her daughter's room. Chocolate cake with mmf. Oops, that's the backside, Lily will be her daughter's name (that is upside down)

The theme of the shower was "polka-dots", so I incorporated them in to the designs as much as I could. The baby face cookies are made from a lemon-shaped cookie cutter...I copied the idea from www.popcornpapa.com

The Mom requested a Princess cake with black and pink(s) plus polka-dots. I went hog wild with this cake and learned so much about fondant. The Tiara was done in fondant harden in the freezer which worked very well layed over a enchilada can for rounding. I used black wilton gel coloring diluted in vanilla for the accents on the crown. Painted on with a small paint brush. It easily went into the top of the cake. The customer was very pleased.
