This is the first wedding cake I made for a customer. It is made with Bettercream icing from Rich's and had about 45 roses on it.

I made this for my daughter's 1st birthday. This was the first cake I was completely satisfied with. I got the idea from the invitations I used.

My friend found these cupcakes in a baby magazine. We used the colours and the non-pareils around each rim (the little white, round sprinkles).

The top cupcake is marked with a gumpaste heart because that has the little chocolate gold coin in it for good luck. (I didn't bake it in because I thought it would melt, so I just cut a slit in the baked cupcake and slipped in in before I iced it!)

The wooden stand was made as a Christmas gift last December from my awesome crafty dad. He's so clever!

This is a cake that I ALWAYS wanted to make....the version that inspired me was in round tiers and had lots of scroll work...I like the square look and since i can't do scrolls...i opted for tracing a pattern with royal and sticking it on...also...the inspiration cake had a bow at the top...and i didnt like how that looked either, so i scrapped it
comments/critiques appreciated...
also, with this cake i learned not to bother w/bc under the tiers w/bc, 2 bottom without..

I've been thinking lately about smallish wedding cakes done all in buttercream that could be put together inexpensively and quickly. (This one was more work than I intended, but next time I'll use a bigger tip.) I wanted it to be irregular, and it was a challenge to get away from stars all in a row. But, all in all, it turned out pretty much as I envisioned. The first of a few modest, all-buttercream wedding cakes, I think.

This cake is a 10", 8", 6" and 3". All yellow cake with all buttercream icing. I love pastel colors and so I used cakefairy18's idea from her pastel colored squared cake she made (Thank you cakefary18 for the idea!). I love roses so I made 90 miniature roses to go around the cake in all buttercream icing, that took forever, LOL but I loved the way it turned out.

Cake for a baby shower. They don't know and won't be finding out what sex the baby is until it is born, so they wanted the colors to be very neutral without looking like a boy or girl. The cake is lightly airbrushed a pale yellow, with accents of a soft yellow and mint green.

Here's a cake I did for my friend's two year old daughter. I got the idea from one of Sugarshack's creations, although mine isn't nearly as nice! The cake is covered in MMF (actually my first time working with MMF) and the accents are made from Wilton's pastels fondant. It turned out much better than I imagined, however, it took me a loooong time to do. I guess it doesn't help that I had my 2 year old son to my feet the entire time I was trying to construct it. :) Thanks for looking!

My favorite was the top layer with the fence and flowers. I had a lot of problems getting the base icing smooth, and I wasn't very happy with the color of the pink border but it was very late. Luckily my co-workers like whatever I bring in!

What a challenge...This was for an Indian client that wanted a cake for a baby shower/wedding reception with chocolate on the bottom and yellow cake w/ blue b/c on top and pastel flowers all over. Idea taken from Cakes by Sam's blue & yellow flower cake. She also wanted 100 chocolate covered strawberries and a few strawberries on the cake. Not something that I would normally do but she said for her culture this was perfect.

This cake uses the Wilton 10.5" ring mold pan, with a styrofoam block in the middle to support the cookie flowers. Cake iced with buttercream, royal flowers, cookies are iced with thinned royal. Would have liked the cookies to be a little shinier... any suggestions?

This picture is a cake I made for my supervisor to his wife. She was pregnant and expecting their first child. He wanted to tell her how beautiful he thought she was even though she felt less than attractive. A very simple cake that gets across a powerful message of love and affection. Thanks for looking.

dark chocolate cake with fresh strawberry cream on top. cream cheese almond pound with lemon cream cheese on bottom. Covered in MMF with gumpaste baby booties on top. Put a little too much filling on the top layers and had trouble with it wanting to slide around a little causing the MMF to scrunch some.

Had an order for a 11x15 cake for a doctor's office and the cake needed to be decorated for a birthday and a baby shower. Here's what I ended up with. Lemon Sour Cream Cake, torted and filled with lemon mousse, iced in Butter Cream. Bow, streamers and banners made out of Gumpaste.

My highest paying cake order so far!!! :0)

These are 14,12,10,8" round tiers (all chocolate) with buttercream icing & scrollwork. The flowers are royal and some are on wires- they were to match the 7 bridesmaids dresses that were different pastel colors. I had to transport the tiers seperately and attach all the flowers on site. It was a 2hr drive and I was afraid that the flowers would bounce off, so I played it safe.

The cake is buttercream with fondant decorations. I made all the flowers and butterflies myself out of fondant. I'm really happy with how this one came out, it was for a keiki first birthday.
