My mom wanted an Indian-looking cake for their small group church meeting. It is a white cake mix flavored with rose essence. Used leaf cutters and brushed them with luster dust. I need practice, but it turned out better than I thought it would!

This was for 2 sisters who have birthdays close together. Their favorite colors are orange and blue, so I came up with this combination. It was lots of fun to make!! Thanks for looking.

First of all, the inspiration for this cake, was Lindy Smith's "Indian Wedding Cake" I wrote to her, and let her know that I was going to try it. She sent me a very encouraging reply.
But I had a hard time with the dark colours. In the photos it looks really patchy. In reality it was OK, and the purple was a rich regal colour.
The topper is made of pressed sugar with a royal icing net. The bride and groom wrote messages to each other and I sealed them in the little box. The idea for the messages came from emma from emmascakes. I wrote to her too and she said, "Go for it!"
Thanks for looking.
Oh, the cake is rich fruit cake, marzipan, and then fondant.

This cake was inspired by purse cake done by "micfish". The pattern is freehanded and the handle is ribbon. My sister wanted a "coach" purse for her birthday, so I made this one as a joke with collaboration from my Mom. We had TONS of fun. This is my first sculpted cake and my first scratch made cake. It's a scratch golden yellow cake with buttercream and chocolate cream cheese buttercream. I also made Cake Balls with the leftover carved parts. YUMMY!

I made this cake for my uncle and it was so much fun. The beer can is made up of 3 8" round cakes cute in half and filled w/ chocolate syrup buttercream. The logo didn't come out as nice as I had hoped, thats what I get for trying to do freehand and save time. The sides are a bandana print because my uncle always wears them. I also stuck some football candy melts cause he loves that too. It is buttercream w/ silver luster dust painted on. It is traveling really far tomorrow. Wish me luck :)

This is a caramel mud and two tiers of white coconut mud cake(both Boonenati's recipes) covered in ganache and Fondx. The Lakshmi on top is made from modelling paste and the face was done using Aine2's models as inspiration, the elephants were made from fondant, using a template then hand painting the details and sticking on an ear, the paisleys are gumpaste painted with gold lustre and alcohol, the stars are royal icing painted gold, the lace panels are made withan FMM cutter and painted with gold.

Hand-cut vanilla butter cookies (Toba Garrett's recipe). Decorated with royal icing, outlines painted with gold lustre dust and the middles sprinkled with disco glitter. Gold dragrees to finish. These will be bagged and ribboned as party favours for an Indian themed leaving party on Sunday (for which I will also be doing a cupcake cake!).

NFSC with RBC and RI accents. OK_ this was my first attempt- made a template. It was actually pretty large- about 8 in. Am going to make a cutter for mass production and then package them in real tie boxes for Father's Day!! (I was not happy with the paisleys near the top, at the knot- but now I know what to do differently! :)

6" Rum Cake w/ Raspberry Filling - 8" Carrot Cake w/ Pumpkin Pie Filling & 10" Apple Spice w/ Mango Filling. Iced in White Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing & Covered in Blue MMF. The Henna design was based on a Gail Watson design. Of course it could never be exact so I did a lot of freehand to make it my own. Thanks for looking!!

This was my "graduation" cake for my decorating classes. I decidedto try a henna/paisley/sari/Indian type of cake. All three layers are a double fudge chocolate with mmf. Paisley shapes and dahlias are all also mmf.

I was asked to make a (last minute) wedding cake, 4 tiers - ivory, red, and black. I was told it needed to have a country western theme, and it was to be all buttercream frosting. They provided their own cake topper.

Baby shower cake made for my nephew on the way. Horse is gumpaste... a bit of a disaster (the star is there to cover up how uneven the horse is!) The hat was purchased and the maine and tail are yarn. I ended up having to hotglue some of it together. Design is in buttercream and the rest is fondant. Thanks for looking!

For a bridal shower for one of my upcoming brides. Paisley shaped cakes with chocolate colored scrolls and grum paste roses. I have never done this type of scroll and it was time consuming but worth it!

This cake was made with love for my niece's 2nd birthday. The party was a western theme with a girly twist. The cake was inspired by "cakecentral" and the color scheme was designed to match the invitations. I had so much fun making this cake, it was my first BIG cake and my first time decorating with fondant accents.

Horse head , Used fondant to cover and decorate horse. Needed more cake for the party, so I added a paisley print bandana. First time doing a horse, thought it came out prettty good. My family thinks that before the ears were on, it looked like a dinosaur. Might use that for next time :)

This was for a baby shower and the design was taken from the plates and napkins. Very light green BC frosting with fondant stripes, paisley-shaped pieces and bow. This was the only pic I could--memory was full and I have yet to learn how to delete pics on my new camera.
