My son went through a lot of medical things within the first 6 mo's of his life, so for some reason, Naoh's Ark had been a running theme for his first year. My husband did not want the traditional waves, so we went with grass instead (post landing).

Okay. This is definitely my fav cake yet - it was sooo FUN to do! I had a blast making the ladybugs - who would have thought bugs were so much fun?

It's hard to see in the picture, but each ladybug had tracks from where she had been on the cake, looping around the flowers and through the grass.

Thanks for looking!

This cake is great for birthdays & Baby Shower. The base started out round stacked layers and was cut to correct shape. Top is made from gingerbread cookies using modified house shape. Figures are combination buttercream and purchased Lucks sugar decorations. Buttercream & airbrush.

This was a shower cake for my cousin. I used the pan insert from the Wilton pan, scanned it, and put it in my projector.

Tiny 6". Woman calls to place order, I say yes, she goes on to say I would like a tiny cake for the mother and father and I'm ordering another big cake for everyone else (I'm guessing Costco). I was kind of miffed about this because she lives kind of far from me (20mins one way). What would you have done? This tiny cake wasn't worth my time, effort and gas!!!

Thanks to Tally for this picture, I needed to do a cake just like hers for a baby shower and the baby's name was Noah. I couldn't find any suitable coloring pages and Tally was wonderful enough to send me the link. This is a cherry chip cake , buttercream icing and FBCT.

Here's the real picture. Sorry about the 1/2 eaten one I uploaded by mistake. This was my first every attempt at cake decorating. I'm not sure why I didn't chose something a little easier. I spent three weeks practicing with it before my son's first birthday.

I made this for a baby shower for a coworker. Her theme is Noah's Ark. I used piping gel to transfer the Noah's Ark to the cake.

Third class in Wilton 1. I worked with piping gel. That was pretty neat. I really need to work on my shells. I'm NOT a fan of that.

I did this cake for a friend of mine who was co-hosting a baby shower. They were very pleased with the cake. I was also very pleased since I had never done a cake like this before.

This was for a customer who was throwing a 'Noah's Ark' themed baby shower. White cake, all buttercream icing. I used a 11X15 base, then the football pan upside down and a loaf pan on top of that (i carved out the roof). On the front is pigs, elephants, lions....snakes on the front deck & birds on top. Spiders on the left side of the roof & mice on the right side deck. Cows, hippos & giraffes on the back. Oh, and fish in the water (my 5 yr old son still insisted that it needed sharks in the water too)

this cake was done from a photo of a guitar for a little boy turning 9. He loved it and was a lot easier to construct than I thought it would be.

I really wanted to do a tiered cake for this one. The customer did not give me enough time to find a cute figurine for the top. We settled on this...not my favorite design. I really do not like doing character pans anymore!

Everything in this picture is edible except the animals. I was trying to make my own animals but I just didn't have enough time. Ark is made from a marble cake and covered in fondant. The ramp is white chocolate. The water is blue butter cream. The sand is yellow/brown sugar. The pebbles and big rocks you see are all edible and purchased from a bulk food store. It was a huge hit at the party.

11x15 sheet cake iced in buttercream with a FBCT. This was my first one! I was surprised that it came out at all - it seemed like a big blob when I was working on it.

This is a cake I made for a bake-off at my church. The picture (the whole top of the cake actually) is FBCT. I won first place for best-looking cake!

All BC, the animals on the top of the bottom later were a last minute addition when the cake was being delivered. I was not aware the the hostess wanted them until I got to the sight. The side has molded candy melts.

I made this for a friend who was giving a Noah's Arc themed baby shower. It's a chocolate cake with buttercream. The animals are molded out of mmf. This was my first cake with mmf animals. She was happy with the way the cake turned out!

This is a cake I was asked to make for my SIL's cousin about 8 years ago when I was just playing around with decorating. Sorry for the blurry pic, this was long before digital! Cake was chocolate with chocolate and almond bc icing. Ark looked like wood planks. Animals were sugar decorations, I'd feel comfortable making my own animals now.

Done for a co-workers baby shower. It's kind of a combination of two of Wilton's cakes. I did the parts from each I liked the best. So much fun piping the animals! Pretty funny that I'm just learning piping in my 3rd Wilton class tonight. Guess I'm ahead of the curve ;) Bottom layer was chocolate (enhanced box) with cookies-n-cream filling and (very blue) buttercream. The top layer was scratch banana with chocolate chips and chocolate cream cheese icing. YUM!!
