This is a pretty basic cake, one round layer over a square layer which I cut to look like feet. The feet and the top are covered in fondant, the face is with black frosting (I used a chocolate base) and the eyes are fondant.

This was the cake I made for my sons 7th birthday. Cupcakes were`death by chocolate with vanilla bc and mmf decorations. Main cake's bottom tier was designed to look like a walk through the game board. Cake was buttermilk devils food with vanilla buttercream and a layer of crushed ores and covered in mmf. Got inspiration from many photos online and especially msauer for Marios face! Cupcakes based on designs by clever cupcakes on flickr. Thanks for looking!

This is an 11x15 cake decorated with BC and MMF. Mario and Luigi are FBCTs, I used MMF to create the birthday message and other characters. I really enjoyed making all the little decorations for this cake, I think this is my new favorite cake.

Oh brother - what a cake! This was done with a lot of planning, but still not enough. You need a degree in engineering to pull a 2" wide X 6 1/2" tall cake off! The sides were white chocolate and royal icing (think gingerbread house!) The cake was put on cardboard with holes for the dowels. I used a lot of chocolate clay to help hold the inside together, and to cover the remote. A fun cake, hopefully it will go smoother next time!

These were so much fun! We didn't have a ton of money for a friends birthday, so I decided to make some treats for him. The only problem is, x box game covers are so detailed. Not a problem if your painting on fondant, but these were royal icing and white chocolate clay! I think the Pac-man came out best!

Did this for my son's b-day. Unfortunately I was fighting gravity so the top half kept sliding down and pushing the other part forward. I had to store the cake at an angle but it should be fine for the least I hope!
Lemon cake with buttercream and MMF.

My cousin and her husband are the owners of the plush toy company called Shawnimals. In October 2008 they released a Nintendo DS game called Ninja Town based off of some of their Shawnimal characters. In front of the cake are a couple of the real plush toys that they're based off of. This is Banana cake with Cream Cheese Icing. all of the decorations are made of fondant. TFL! :)

The groom was an absolute Nintendo fanatic. His fiance (now wife) forced him to separate from it for a few days so that I could get all the details down... it was pretty funny. TFL

This was for a teen boy who is a gaming fiend. The design is a classic Nintendo Super Mario Bro's mushroom on a black tee, all Satin Ice. He and his father loved it.
