I used a Hiland yogurt container (flat bottom with a diameter of 2 3/8")and cut it down some. I then cut three holes in a triangular shape in the bottom of the container, each hole between 5/8" and 6/8". I inserted three standard sized couplers and three tips and put it all in an 18" piping bag.

Well, I posted a help topic to get some ideas and Tonia (smileyface) gave me a wonderful idea but I didn't get the instructions in time. Anyway, this was a church preschool class cake. I couldn't decide on how I wanted to do this. It ended up okay I guess. You can make out the large marshmallows with lollipop sticks in them in this picture. I had to use those because I grabbed the wrong size cake box!! It took me about 30 minutes just to get this covered without getting the piping gel all messed up.

This shower cake was made for a co-worker's baby shower. The lady that arranged the shower asked me if I would make the cake for the shower, after I agreed she showed me a picture of the cake she wanted... I enjoyed making this one and got lots of compliments at the shower. The cake is a 10 inch bottom teir, 8 inch round and top is 6 inchs.

Well here it is! My FIRST paid wedding cake. Based off a photo from A Piece of Cake in Fort Lauderdale, FL, provided by bride. I'm very pleased with the outcome and thanks to all here at CC who enlightened me to rolling out fondant with the help of Crisco. I was really sweating that bottom petal tier. Sizes are 15, 12, 8, and 6". It took close to 2 and a half hours to hand glue all those dragees but the overall cake turned out really nice. Haven't heard from the bride yet...hope she was thrilled.

I was asked to make a birthday cake on Monday for a big sports fan. About 30 minutes after I received the call I logged onto Cake Central and saw the cake that "cookiecreations" had just posted. This is where I got my inspiration. I love the idea that "cookiecreation" had. Mine did not turn out as nicely but the client was happy. I will try this one again and slow down and take my time with it.

This cake is actually a montage I did out of Mother's Day presents. I put it in my album as a wedding cake. After the pics, I took each cake down again.

In Round Wedding Cakes, I have a photo of these cakes plus another in a tier arrangement. After the pics, I took them apart to give as Mother's Day gifts. The pink one was already given away for this pic.

This cake was done as a dummy cake...only to be looked upon by the party goers! It was a definite challenge, but very rewarding in the end.

These turned out so much better than the first time around. They were a huge hit at my daughters picnic this weekend. The box idea for transporting these worked perfectly. The girls LOVED the twist cone, and it's a cherry sour on the top.

This is the year of 40th birthdays and we celebrated another with a good friend last night. 6" triple chocolate cake with Bailey's cream filling. 36 fondant candles, and 4 real were added at the restaurant. Had planned to do a Red Sox theme, but my husband cautioned me due to their poor season, so just picked up on the red, white and blue.

This is a cake I made for my best friend's dad. He's turning 80 and I've known the family since I was 14 ( a long long time lol). I wish it would have come out a little neater and the square a little sharper, but over-all I'm happy w/ it. It's dark choco. cake, dk.choc.buttercream, Hershey's dk.choc. frosting, and Rhonda's Ultimate choc. MMF. TFL

This was for a wacky 40th BD party themed "Jackie's Valentine Love Fest". They served pomegranate martinis and everyone got
rhinestone dogtag "bling" as a party favor. At the party was a giant poster of the birthday girl standing next to Snoop Dogg, who was
photoshopped into the picture! Cake is covered with fondant stripes. Martini glass is poured sugar, isomalt stem and gumpaste foot.
The "pomegranate martini" is piping gel. The dog tags are fondant painted with silver highlighter dust.

I had so much fun with this cake, but the reception was an outdoor reception in the middle of the day... In the Mississippi heat! UGH! I waited until just the last minute to get this cake put together due to the fact that I didn't want it to become a puddle of cake soup on the floor. The bride loved the cake. Her mother cried, she cried... I cried... Go figure! There were an assorment of cakes, chocolate with B/C, french vanilla with B/C, White filled with fresh strawberries with B/C. Chocolate fondant dots
