Simple white cake with whipped white chocolate ganache filing. Buttercream icing. I found this awesome ribbon and had some leftover ovals and circles from another job that matched perfectly in color. I added the little cross using tear-drop cutters and wrote the message in melted chocolate.

I made this simple, two-layer 9" round cake for a friend's baby shower. It's all buttercream tinted with Wilton paste colors. The flowers are piped on. I just wrote the baby's name on the bottom because I didn't have room for "Welcome" and it looked blank there ;-p I know it's not really baby-ish, but it suited the mom's style and fit with the sophisticated theme of the shower.

This cake is a combination of alternating round and hexagon layers. The couple's monogram is piped on a colorflow plaque. The layers are wrapped in black ribbon. The bride's colors scheme was black with shades of ivory and taupe.

This is my first offical wedding cake! Best part the main cake was the same Robin's egg blue inside! We called Kelly's special Blue vanilla.
The main cake is 6", 10" & 14" each tier is 7" high. Covered in Chocolate Satin Ice Fondant with Robins Egg Blue and Off White circle accents in Satin Ice Vanilla Fondant. The two side cakes are 10" cakes each 7" high. Same covering except stripes instead of circles. One was chocolate and the other Red Velvet cake. Excuse the setting the florist was not there yet.

It's hard to come up with a modern design for clients with modern taste. This cake was for a baby shower who's host didn't want anything "baby-ish" -- this cake was 3 layers, covered in white MMF and then MMF dots. The baby's first initial is also cut out of fondant.

Customer requested these colors. At first I thought it'd look horrible w/the silver center ribbon but it turned out better than expected. She originally wanted artificial white roses cascading down one corner but never brought them to me (as we'd agreed on). So today when picking up, the mom said they never had the time to get the flowers so they were leaving it plain. I offered to add the roses I had in the corners instead since it was a quick fix & they loved it. Can't wait to see pics w/the topper & at the reception! TFL!

I saw some pics of this style of cake on here and knew I had to try it for this. This was a grad cake for my mom (got her master's) and my younger sister (graduated high school)! A joint party for them - with the help of my older sister we made this. The top 2 are dummies just because we didn't need that much cake, but I would have been confident doing it with real cake as well. They are 8" squares, fondant covered.

I did a black/white marble cake with blend of cream cheese and regular buttercream covered in fondant. The idea for the booties came from someone on this website--twinkie halves covered in fondant.

This was a rush cake, ordered Friday afternoon for a Saturday pickup! Whew! They said they wanted gray fondant with lime green and blue polka dots and made to look 'modern'. It's mmf with mmf dots and gray bc beading around the tiers.

This cake was so much fun. So modern. I made my first fondant flowers, and used gumpaste for the first time to make the reeds. My fondant rippled a little, I should have done another coat of buttercream. But all in all pretty cute. each tier was 8 inches tall :)

This cake was designed by the bride and me. She wanted to capture the sunflower theme and the bridemaid's blue colors.

My first wedding cake. They didn't want a "traditional" cake, so I did a funky twist on it with the colors. Their colors were black, white and hot pink, so it worked out well I think. The hardest part was baking three different flavors for each layer. UGH.

For the modern mom, a vanilla cake with vanilla BC. The silhouette, circles, and ribbon roses are fondant. I added some dragees to the mom, her bag, the carriage and daisies for a little extra bling. The hosts wanted dark pink and black, just like the baby's room.

I designed this cake for my lil cousin who just turned 20. I wanted something modern, girlie and a little funky but not too young...since she's not a teenager anymore! =) Top layer is vanilla cake w/fresh strawberries and cream filling. Bottom layer is chocolate cake w/chocolate cream filling. All covered in MMF. Flowers were also MMF. TFL!

This was made using marshmallow fondant I made the night before. And red and black satin ice fondant I bought at the store. The wire designs were made with 20G jewelry wire. The cakes were 4 inches tall and cut down at an angle on the sides. I used a 10 and an 8 inch square cake pan. I used tequila to paint the black fondant to make it shiny. It turned out like patent leather.

I was given the plates for the baby shower and told to do what I am known to do but the only requirement was a baby sleeping on top.

This cake was for my son's wedding. I have a long way to go but he loved it. I made the top out of polymer clay - it is a likeness of the two of them.
