I do these complimentary 4" mini replicas of client's wedding cakes instead of them having to freeze their top tier. This one is going out today. Even the flavour inside is the same, Tahitian Vanilla!
I made the gumpaste bow with a pencil to dry the loops.

This is just a little mini cake I wanted to experiment with. Fondant with royal scrolls and edible pearls. The stand was found at Michaels, and I think it was supposed to be a candle stand, but loooks like a mini cake stand.

A birthday cake I made for my 7 year old niece. She is vacationing and didn't get a cake on her birthday. So I am bringing a small cake just for her tomorrow when I see her. It is a 6" single layer and 4" single layer. Purple is her favorite color. I figured that since she is such a "girly girl" she would love the wedding cake look.

What a lot of work! Yikes!!

Mini vanilla cupcakes with handmade pink gumpaste flowers with edible pearl centres & mini chocolate cupcakes with piped chocolate hearts.

Had to make 850 individual petals to create the pink flowers. My hand will never be the same again!!

I include this free on a client's annivesary if they book their wedding cake/cupcakes with me.

People are so happy to get a fresh cake & not having to worry about freezing/thawing anything.

A great hint...when you do a wedding order, always make a few extra gumpaste decorations to save for the one year anniversary cake!! I keep them in tiny little Ziploc baggies with the client's name/date written on it. That way, I can look up the invoice and match it to the decorations I've saved.

I made these today along with another one that wasn't in this picture. I was meeting with a bride and wedding planner that had never had fondant so I took both fondant and buttercream "samples" each with a little decoration. They liked the look and taste of the fondant but not the texture. They loved the buttercream!

These were for a baby shower for the first grade teacher. Since kids had so much other food, I figured the smaller cupcakes were sufficient.

Played around with home made rolled fondant, rolled buttercream & cream cheese icing (all for the first time) and had lots of fun doing it! Learned lots too- like cream cheese icing isn't good for decorating (unless I made it wrong!!) Feel free to critique or offer suggestions for ways to improve! The largest layer was 4 inches.. I think the mini cakes are tougher than the bigger ones to work with! Less room to play!

Another mini cake for fun inspired by all the pillow & tiara cakes I saw on here. Chocolate cake covered in rolled buttercream. The tiara is made out of candy melts. First time I used them & the bottle I had them in kept blowing air so the design on the tiara didn't work like it was suposed to but I'm still pleased. Any criticism or suggestions welcome!

9, 6,3 inch cakes. You can see that I struggled with the 3 inch cake. I cut it out with a round cookie cutter that wasn't exactly round! It was for a pretend wedding for my son's preschool class. I had fun with it.

I made this cake for my husband and I celebrating our second year of marriage. It is a miniature cake with 2", 3" and 4" tiers. These tiers are covered in rolled fondant. The cake itself is a rich west indian fruitcake made with fruits that have been steeped in liquor.
