Made this cake over the weekend for my lovely MIL. She loved it! I wasn't too crazy about the paint job, and with exception to the zipper, liked the details. Too much work though and don't think I'll be doing it again any time soon!

I just made this one today
I used my own fantasy to design the bag.
It is my first bag, but I am satisfied with it so far. I used fondant for the whole covering and I used coper dust powder to paint the LV details.

The flower I made a few weeks earlier and that's from floral paste.

It was not hard to make If I can make this everybody with patience can.

Here's my version of a louis vuitton purse and wallet, complete with the b-day girl's favorite country singer. Covered in fondant, the symbols were freehanded with luster. I think it turned out ok for my first purse cake. I definitely learned alot from this one!

Here is my version of a LV purse. Coconut cake with chocolate frosting, covered in fondant. The LV is handpainted, I made a stamp from a potato and stamped the design on. Did not really have much time to do this, so I simplyfied it some.

This cake was a lot of work and a lot of fun. It's a 10" square cut in half and stacked on end. Covered in all MMF. Logos in edible marker. Zipper is MMF painted with gold luster dust and vodka. I used a lot of fellow CC'er's cakes for inspiration, thanks guys! It's for an 18 year old girl's birthday, I hope she likes it!

This is my take on a purse cake. Instead of the famous LV insignia, I used the birthday girl's initials. Painting on the pattern was very tedious and frustrating, but overall I think it came out pretty well.
Thanks for looking!

My best friend's boyfriend ordered this cake for her for her birthday. She wanted the actual purse, but he said it was too expensive, so had a cake made to look like it. She loved it. Cake was marble with buttercream, and MMF accents.

I looked at all the pictures on here to get my inspiration. Thanks, guys! The cake is covered in sugarpaste (I mixed in some chocobake for the dark brown) The design was painted freehand using gold luster dust and clear vanilla. I used just a tiny bit of brown color to get the cream colored parts.

This was a learning expierence for me! This was for my neighbor's daughter who was turning 13. There are alot of mistakes which means my next purse will be that much better! (I hope!)

12" square Louis Vuitton luggage, w/ Jimmy Choo shoe box (9x13 cut in half), shoe made of gumpaste and painted w/ luster dust. Chanel handbag was a 7" round, halved. All done in fondant. Had the most fun doing this cake - can't wait to do another!

My first purse cake and my first time working with MMF, which I loved! This one was definitely a learning experience. I wasn't thrilled with it, but everyone else was in complete awe.

My second one...I think its improved from my first although I think I might prefer if the straps were down...can't figure out how to attach them that way, though. This way at least I can use skewers.

Thank you to all of you who helped and directed me for this purse. I felt like my first purse was such a failure (Fashionista in gallery). With everyone's help tho, I tackled another one and I love how it turned out. Thank you all again so much, I love ya'll! :-) I've had many pm and ask if this is all fondant. It's buttercream, the brown and silver accents are fondant.

My first attempt at a Louis Vuitton Purse cake. This cake is made up of eight 8" cakes stacked and then flipped on its side. I wish I could have gotten the handles to stand up, but they were just too heavy.

White choc cake w/strawberry filling. Choco-pan fondant. I was not to pleased with the pattern on the purse. My DH made it for me but I guess the dust gets behind the actual pattern and gets every where.

I was so excited I finally got to make one of these. I used edible images for the pattern. The cellphone and lipstick are made from molding chocolate. Thanks for all the inspiration on this site.

First time making a purse cake. Had no idea what I was doing when I carved it. It's leaning like the Tower of Pizza. I'm praying it will stay upright until MOnday for a co-worker's birthday. Have the board propped up on one side. It was making it.
