I made 2 small wedding cakes for the dinner after our ceremony at the courthouse. This was also one of my first cakes that I decorated- just over 6 years ago now. There is lilac roses, white roses, bear grass, baby's breath, and freesia on the cake. There is also ivy around the cake on the cake board. As you can see, it's not very smooth and the writing is not very good either (and hard to read in the picture), but I saved myself money and had fun making it.

This cake was for a Champagne-themed wedding, but we wanted to incorporate her lilac colour as well...so here is the compromise!

The tiers were 5.5" tall apiece and the flavour was Lime Zest Spongecake with Fresh Raspberry Buttercream, iced in Coconut Buttercream. YUMMY!!

This is one of two cakes I decorated for a surprise birthday party for two guys. They both started out as truck drivers but now one is a fireman. The other cake has a fire truck and other fire related objects on it. I know this is an odd color for a male but this is the color of his rig (lilac).

This is a birthday cake for a college student I know. He left the design to me, so I did a basketweave with a French plume border variation for the bottom border and #225 drop flowers for the top border. I made the French Blue Lilacs by piping the basic shape with a #21 and covering it with #133 drop flowers (used a mixture of cornflower blue and royal blue icing). The message was simply embossed with presses. Cake sparkles topped it off. Thank you to the kind person who shared how to make lilacs.

Not my favourite at all. The bride wanted too much detail on this, in my opinion. It was overwhelming! I had to pick most of the petals off the roses for the corners too, as they were way too big and lush to fit on the tiny 1.5" sides!

Oh well....some you love and some you don't. At least it's done!

My rendition of wilton's "The Glow Endures". 14" round is chocolate amaretto cake with a seedless raspberry cream filling. The 10" round and the 6" round were done tiramisu style, all decorated with buttercream. Cake topper is the chinese symbol for double happiness, a good luck symbol common in chinese weddings. The bride was Chinese.

Here is a floral baby shower inspired by Cupcake Cafe cakes. Not quite as good as theirs but I was pretty happy as I don't do many florals. Should have used more roses.

This cake was made and designed by the recipient. She wanted for her birthday a cake with a Full Figured Lady. So this is what I came up with. She loved the cake and that's all that matters. The cake is a 14 inch round.

The bride and groom cookies were intended to stand on the top cutting cake, but I had made them too thick and heavy for a little 5" square cake (doh!) Had to use them infront instead.

Cupcakes in large and minis, done with Mocha Buttercream and lilac gumpaste flowers as decor.

My good friend Cathy has three sons and never gets anything "girly." For her birthday I decided to treat her to a flowery cake, so I coordinated it to match the plates and napkins for her party. The result is this 6" triple layer chocolate cake with chocolate BC filling. Iced in white BC with BC decorations. Thanks for looking!

I know it's a little busy but they actually wanted it busier. I tamed it down a bit. The theme was 'Lilac and Pearls'. All the accents are fondant. Painted with Antique Luster Dust.

Taking this take to a lady in the family who is turning 98 tomorrow. Tried to do the quilting look - didn't quite get it right... lots of faults all over this cake, but I think it still looks pretty if you don't study it too hard! I didn't count all the flowers that are on them... can't count that high! hehehe :D Top layer is white cake with raspberry/cream filling, bottom layer rich chocolate cake. -- Thanks for looking!

This was for my sister in law. Fun to do but tricky to transport!!!
Round cakes (10 and 14 I think) covered in white fondant with Fresh roses as accents. Top is bridal wonder mold. That was a little tricky to do but it worked out in the end. Thanks for looking!!

This is my wedding cake and the first wedding cake that I ever made! My husband's aunt was going to make our wedding cake since she's been in the business but then she accidentally mixed up the date and booked herself a cruise the weekend of our wedding! I had played around with decorating birthday cakes before but nothing of this magnitude. They were heart-shaped and I made several flavors...chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and banana with almond buttercream icing. Everyone loved them...what a relief!!!

The wedding's colours were silver and lilac, so this matched perfectly.

The cake was Tahitian Vanilla filled with fresh strawberry buttercream, in 6", 9" and 12" tiers.
