I did this cake at work. The customer didn't want very much black and requested that the road be done in grey. I would have liked to have done the sides in a checkered flag pattern, but maybe next time. All buttercream.

This cake was so much fun to make. I went online to get the ideas for it and customer provided the cars. 4 year old Jack loved it!! Yellow cake with BC frosting.

I made this cake for my son's 3rd birthday. I learned so much from making this. I baked two 9x13 cakes, one yellow and one chocolate...for some reason I was just not pleased with the height of the cakes and when I cut them in half to add filling I almost had a disaster on my hands! I think next time I will do a cake extender to get more height. Everyone at the party raved and just couldn't believe that I had made it. :) Overall I am pretty proud of this cake.

Carved cakes are pound cake w/BC covered in MMF/Choc. Clay. Roadway is yellow cake w/BC, letters are cookies, "floating" letters are chocolate.

I made this 1/4 sheet cake with the 3d Cruiser pan on top for my nephew's 7th birthday. It was my first 3d car, but I think it turned out fairly well. I think he will definitely like it!!

A customer wanted a CARS cake with the red car. So I searched here on CC and found a great cake idea from Steady2hands. thanks! I didn't do the exact same thing. I prefer freehand designs over fbct. So I used the design but I didn't do the fbct.

This by far has been the most challenging cake that I have made. 1/2 sheet cake, French Vanilla and Triple Chocolate marble cake, Toba Garrett's mocha icing with ganache for filling, black fondant squares for top of the cake to make the checkerboard. Car cake is Wilton's 3D car pan, French Vanilla, no filling, covered in fondant, candy melts for tires. Learned alot of what NOT to do with this cake. Everyone loved it, especially the taste. Sam was grinning from ear to ear!

Used the Happy Meal toy for this cake. Already sold another one to a mom who needs more servings. I'm going to place the cone on a larger base and make 'parking spaces' for the other happy meal toy cars from the movie!

I did this cake for my friends son. He was so excited when he saw it. It is a vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling and buttercream frosting. The cars are done with the frozen buttercream transfer method. After I transfered the images onto the cake I went back over the tires and a few other parts on the cars to make them more dimensional. I was very happy with the end result.

This is my attmept at Lightening McQueen. It was requested by the birthday boy. My first attmpt was a complete disaster! THanks to my wonderful husband for some grest suggestions. He was sweet enough to even carve the cake for me. I did the rest. I was also struggling with the tires. He suggested Oreo cookies. Perfect! This was much easier for me. My girls liked the cake. Lets hope the birthday boy does too! Thanks for looking.
