Icing was a bit too soft. Gave it to the girls at my favorite dress shop. They're all up a size now :-))))

Two layer white cake, buttercream filling, Satin Ice fondant, buttercream piping and FAST dots! Wanted to try a fondant other than Wilton's. Like the flavor of the S. Ice....and it was easy to work with. I still don't like the fact that when I cut my fondant cakes, the fondant separates from the buttercream iced cake side. IS THIS NORMAL??????

In Switerland, the chef had us each pipe Sacher onto every slice of the Sacher torte. Can you tell which one is his! haha.

Piece of quick advise ask the coordinator where the cake is going... I arrived to deliver this cake and they said oh in here... I gasped... If I would have know I would have made simple individual cakes that could be put on different sized pedestals... Same size cake just different layout... This was also my first weeking cake... I think I just need to add more frosting... the cake is 2 layers chocolate and 1 layer vanilla, all BC... It's okay as long as it didn't fall...

This is my first cake. It was for my daughters first birthday with the "pink poodle" theme. It is a chocolate and vanilla layered cake. 3 layers in each tier. I used fondant to cover, do the stripes, polka dots and dog bones. I used chocolate molds for the letters attached with pipe cleaners.

My first multi tiered cake. Used crusting buttercream for the first time. The cake looks a lot smoother in person, the picture hilights all the imperfections. It is for my sister's 8th birthday tomorrow. Piped colored candy melts on parchment paper in the shape of flowers and dolphins and inlayed them into icing.

I like to make my cakes based on someone's hobby. Since my only real hobby is cake decorating, I made myself a 3 layer cake on top of my own birthday cake! The bottom layer is made from the torted top of the base cake. The second layer is a cupcake. The top layer is all frosting.

This is a cake I made for my Grandmother's 75th birthday. She loves pink! The flowers are a candle ring and swag so she could take them home with her as keepsakes. This is my second 3-layer cake.

This is the cake I made for my oldest child's 11th birthday. Her birthday is a week after halloween, so we had a costume party and all kinds of halloween fun. The cake is a chocolate cake with whipped chocolate icing and the layer between was a cream cheese white icing, so it set off the spider webs well. The spiders are peanut m&ms and the legs for the spider are long black sprinkles. I piped the white eyes on each m&m with the same icing that was used for the web.

YUMMY! This is a 9", 3-layer, Doctored Devil's Food Cake, Filled with Whipped Sweetened Cream, with a Cooked Chocolate Frosting (semi-sweet Chocolate chips, half & half, butter and 10x sugar) surrounded by Cake Truffles (scratch yellow cake, mini chocolate chips, vanilla-caramel creamer, 10x sugar, dipped in chocolate wafers). This is for a friend who I'm told LOVES chocolate, so I picked this cake instead of decorating a cake.

My FIRST stacked cake, ever. I tried the Viva method on botom, but I wasn't tickled with it, so on the top I just used water. Compared in the photo the bottom looks better, but it has cracks in it. The roses were fun all done before hand. Wasn't exactly the look I was going for, but not bad.

3-Layer Chocolate cake with Buttercream frosting and chocolate filling. White chocolate dipped strawberries with brown chocolate drizzle. My wonderful hubby did the drizzle for me as well as the beautiful layout of this photo. (Hey ladies, if you are in need of design work for your cakes, he's the man to call-very inexpensive ;) This was my 1st V-Day cake. I used a new BC frosting and I hated it!! It had such trouble sticking to the cake-never again! But oh well, at least I found out on a dummy cake =)

This is my first attempt at a stacked cake, and I was crazy enough to attempt it for my own wedding shower! But I am a little bit of a perfectionist, so it turned out pretty good (I think).

I made this one and the bottom turned out gorgeous but the top my frosting was too thin and melted off and made the top all bumpy, but most of the ladies said they thought it was supossed to be that way!!

This cake was very easy buttime comsuming to make. My sister didn't know what gender she was having so I made it pink and blue. I made 3 different layers and frosted them with a white frosting. I colored white chocolate with pink and blue to make the shavings on top of the frosting. I used plastic baby blocks to separate the layers.
