My little boys over the summer kind of played Tag with a Little Turtle, that they affectionately named "SAM" in my Mothers backyard...We would find him and play with him andnail polished their names on his shell in bright pink nail polish...Then Sam would disappear, and reappar. His last appearance was when my Mothers Neighbor handed him back to us from "over the fence," pink polish still intact! So, as a Birthday gift, I made her a SAM cake for her Birthday a couple weeks later. She was totally surprised!

White cake with strawberry buttercream filling. Rolled buttercream strips for basket. Vegetarian rice cripsy treats. Gumpaste signs. This cake is for my sister who loves krispy treats but doesn't eat gelatin (in marshmallows). Whole Foods Market sells the veg version of the treats. They sell them in a bushel basket.

Thanks so much to all CC members who helped me w/ ships! I think I used bmote1's design for inspiration the most - especially the pirate! Made w/ chocopan fondant, chocolate cake, buttercream dream, a little Satin Ice. Used two oval pans & rice krispy treats for stairs. Thanks Margery, Bayamoy, & BpShirley & all others that helped me! I was up till 4 AM w/ this one!

I got a request for this for a shower b/c that is the baby's room theme. I needed to make it so it could be transported a long distance so I thought this would be a cute baby design and would transport well. I think I got it to look more like George this time, now I have my proportions off. One more try, maybe I will get it. ;-) George is a rice krispie treat and the banana is the cake.

I have been waiting for the chance to do these since I saw them in the Wilton yearbook. The little girl loves RKT and wanted something different for her birthday. Candy melts for frosting, M&M and sprinkles for decorations.

Tried my hand at making a Wii cake for my brother's birthday. Worked out fine - Wii and controller are Rice Krispie squares covered in MMF. Unfortunately the colours are not quite correct but I didn't have anymore icing so I used what I had.
Thanks for looking.

The fenders and wheels are made out of rice krispie treats. There is a wooden frame holding it up, as it is very heavy. It is about 10 inches tall. The windows are edible images.
