My daughters nickname is apple jo-jo and her favorite song right now is Low by Flo Rida so he just HAD TO HAVE apple bottom jeans for her cake. There were so many to inspire me from this site I thought I would give it a try. This was my first bum cake and I have plans for more in the future. I thought of a million things to add or differently for the next time.

This is for an event celebrating the Dress for Success organization's 10 year anniversary. I thought it'd be cool to show a woman before, in her street clothes and after, in her business suit. :-)

This cake is supposed to look like a pair of my daughter's favorite embroidered blue was all free-hand (quite obviously) and I used butter cream. It was a cute simple cake and my daughter was happy, so I guess I should be too :)

This cake was created for a couple that got hitched in a meadow, by a pond, on a ranch in the mountains. The bride carried daisies and her wedding dress had tiny stonewashed denim bows going down the back.

Cake Measures: 10", 8", 6", 4". It is covered in MMF, dusted with luster dust and decorated with MMF daisies and pockets. (A close-up of this cake can be found in the Western/Cowboy Gallery Album)

BC with white cake layer and chocolate cake layer. Topper is made from fondant. This cake was for my baby brother's 5th birthday. He wanted a calf roper and this is what I came up with. My bandana pattern still needs alot of work. I got the idea from several talented decorators on this site....THANKS!

This cake was inspired by Boween's Western Bridal Cake. She has never-ending talent and I love her work!!!

Cake created for a little boy turning 8 years old. He wants to be a bullrider when he grows up. His Mommy didn't want the bull bucking him though...she is scared of that! LOL!!!

Cake is covered in MMF and the bull and cowboy are made of MMF with tylose powder. Everything is edible (with the exception of the ring in the bulls nose!!)

Practicing modelling figures (different positions, clothing and hairstyles). Modelling is the most rewarding BUT frustrating, annoying, disappointing part of cake decorating for me! Note to self, marzipan doesnÂ’t like being turned into gumpaste :(

This was my first fondant cake. I used gum paste for the roses, daisies, and leaves. I used Royal icing on everything else except the blue covering. (The pocket are fondant.) You can't see it very well, but I put alot of little royal icing flowers all the way around the bottom of the cake. This cake looked yummy, but it wasn't really. I'm not real sure what went wrong, lol. At least it looked cute! I got this idea from some one else's wedding cake. :)

I threw this cake together pretty quick for my nieces birthday. I even used store bought frosting which I usually never do. I got the idea from a little Betty Crocker party cakes book that you get at the checkout counter.

I made this cake for my niece who was having a 70's themed birthday. She thought it was "cool". It's hard to bake when you have morning sickness and the smell of cake makes you sick!

All BC, star on top is craft foam (my RI star cracked!). Thanks to jackson and sugarshack for inspiration! All WASC but different flavors, 1 tier is choc, 1 tier is strawberry (with real strawberries but it made it very fall-y apart-y!) with seedless strawberry jam filling, and 1 tier is lemon with lemon pie filling. I can't remember what I filled the choc layers with!

Thanks so much froggyjustjumpin for the instructions and inspiration,
and also to CakesHerWay for more inspiration!

I used MMF with gumtex for the brim, but it should have been mixed with gumpaste (never did dry hard enough after 4 days).

This is the cake I made for my granddaughter's 18. She lives in Wranglers
After it was at the party I realized that I didn't put the rivits and the Wrangler patch on
the pocket. None the less it was a fun cake to do and my family lets me practice new
cake ideas. Thanks for looking.
