I was asked to supply two sample cakes to a gourmet Deli to see if people would buy ready made, heavily decorated cakes. I added that wilton sparkle dust to the lilly of the valley cake and went back and used gold luster dust to highlight some of the flowers. This was done once the flowers had set up hard in the fridge.

I made this cake for my aunts birthday.  The theme of the whole party was black olives and she wanted black olive pizza to eat.  So, I made a black olive pizza!  This was a vanilla pound cake with vanilla pastry cream and covered in buttercream.  Then I put a thin layer of marzipan on the top of the cake and a ring of marzipan for the crust. I airbrushed the side of the cake as well as the "crust" and "sauce".  Then I topped it with the fondant "cheese" and "olives! It was fun to make and eat!

This was a birthday cake for my mom.  It is German Chocolate with chocolate italian buttercream and traditional coconut, pecan frosting on top.

Sponge cake with bavarian cream filling and IMBC flavored with a strawberry cream liquor.  Very tasty.

Wedding Cake.  For a small second wedding for both parties.  (Also, my second cake.) Winter Wedding.  Spice Cake with Grand Marnier Pastry Cream, and Italian Buttercream flavored with White Cream de Cocoa.  Decorated with Edible Pearls and Sugarpaste flowers.

This was my 3rd wedding cake and my first with cream cheese icing.  It was an Italian Cream cake. It is one of my favorite cakes so far.

This was a practice cake - I had a customer order Italian Cream Cake, Raspberry filling & Cream Cheese Icing. I wasn't too sure what it would taste like - it was wonderful!  Thank you crisseyann for the crusting cream cheese icing. It was great to work with. Very smooth!

I made this for a woman who had purchased these gumpaste flowers online and I made them into the vine using wire and ivory floral tape. She bought the birds in place of a traditional top. It is an Italian Creme cake with lemon curd filling and cream cheese icing. She wanted very simple. Nothing else on it. I wish I had a better picture, but.....

My first Italian Creme cake.  For my boss & his wife.  They love I.C.C.  I had never made one and didn't have coconut (he doesn't like it anyway) or walnuts so I left them out and used pecans.  The cream cheese frosting piped very nicely and he just raved over it.  A bit more work than regular cakes but it did taste much better than the store bought I.C.C.!

This was done for a 50th birthday party.  It is a 10" round cake, torted to 4 layers, filled and iced with cream cheese icing, and walnuts and pecans pressed into the sides.

This is an orange cake, iced with italian buttercream.  It has a citrus filling.  I find that the anything iced with the italian buttercream
is best served chilled.  It's all personal preference I guess.

I did this spaghetti and meatballs for an 80th birthday with an italian theme as all the family is italian. I made the white cake in my large pyrex bowl, torted and filled with some raspberry pie filling mixed with some of my buttercream. Iced in buttercream and then thinned the rasp pie filling with hot water, used ferraro rocher as meatballs and some grated white choc for the parmasean cheese. The client loved it and couldn't believe how much it looked like spaghetti and meatballs.

My grandma is italian, therefore I decided to decorate this cake to celebrate our heritage. It's white cake with cannoli filling and butter cream icing. The letters and the larger flowers on top are fondant. :-)

A co-worker is leaving to pursue writing full time.  I made this cake to (hopefully) capture the style in which she writes.  It is Italian Cream Cake with coconut buttercream covered by MMF.  Figures are MMF.  Only my second time making people - thank goodness for Debbie Brown's book!

Got the idea from a Christmas cake done by Sheila Brooks that I saw online.  A gift for my hubby's aunt's birthday.  The bottom is a 13" round Italian Cream cake with chocolate cannoli cream.  The top is an 8" round three layer chocolate Italian cream cake with cannoli cream filling.  The MMF is flavored coconut.  Was delicious (if I do say so myself).

This was for an Italian themed b-day party.  I couldn't get the modeling chocolate to work for me plus I don't have a clay gun, so I just went with the basketweave.  A very loose interpertation from Collette Peter's book.  The subtitle "A master course in decortaing" should have been a clue to a novice like myself, but I gave it my best shot.  Thanks for looking.

They wanted just a small Italian Cream cake for the Mother that was craving this and hadn't had one since her Granmother passed with the recipe. Someone on CC was kind enough to share their family recipe and it was a hit, I have yet to taste one myself.

I did this after seeing a post with the tudorial.  It was a fun and easy cake to do with good results.  The meatballs are a chocolate mixture and the spaghetti is buttercream with a sauce made from strawberry glaze.

I needed an excuse to try italian meringue buttercream.  :)  This is a cinnamon cake with italian meringue buttercream, and fresh roses.

My very first wedding cake!  Boy was I a nervous wreck until it was there and set up.  The cake was French vanilla and the filling was almond italian meringue buttercream.  The cake was frosted with vanilla italian meringue buttercream.    Pretty simple design, but I was still nervous until it was all done.  Thanks for looking!

This is the cake my wife has made for the italian minister of foreign affairs.
It will be given to the minister today, so once again you will have a sneak previeuw.
The cake is covered with sugarpaste with gold dust.
The cake is flavoured with jamaican rum.

This is a 75 th birthday cake w/ the Italian flag on it. The wine bottle is rice krispies covered in MMF and then edible markers for the label lettering. The grapes are real and covered in sugar. Thanks for looking!
