For a friend's birthday. She requested these decorations! Peacepipe, suncatcher, turquoise border and Happy Birthday in Cherokee! The pipe and dream catcher were hand molded and carved out of white chocolate clay and pipe painted with food color to replicate authentic Cherokee ceremonial pipe. Rawhide fringes and leaves also white choc. Cake airbrushed to look like leather and then airbrushed with pearl dust fo the shine.

These were SO fun! Each guest at a Bollywood-inspired party received one with their name.
They matched the saris draped everywhere at the venue.

This cake was for 50 people for a surprise birthday party. The family is Indian and wanted a cake to reflect that. She wanted vibrant gree and blue with gold, silver and pearl. What's odd is that she wanted her 1st initial and his on the cake. So it looks more wedding-y to me. Chocolate cakes with raspberry and strawbeery fillings. Chocolate mocha buttercream. Fondant with royal accents.

This cake was made for an Indian bride. Cake was designed after the wedding invitations. They had vines with leaves and the scalloped edges, therefore incorporated them into the design. The paisley topper was to follow through on the use of it in bridal mehndi designs. Piped designs in royal icing and painted with Aztec Gold luster dust. Paisley made out of gumpaste.

This cay was the big cake for the 25th edition of indian day here. With an Edible image of the 1st one in 1982. All vanilla cake with buttercream icing, and fondant flowers. Gave them a great deal because I'm starting out and there was lots of people there: I thought about all the publicity! And it was a hit!! I gave away lots of business cards!

I got the idea for the baseball from elegantcheesecakes.com. My brothers birthday is this friday (October, Friday the 13th!) and he played sports his whole life. The football and baseball are made out of rice crispy treats (if you ever watch ace of cakes, they use them alot) Then covered in fondant. The red stitching on the cake was OH MY GOD!!! it took sooooo long and was sooooo ahhhhhhh! then i rubbed a little brown coloring on it to made it look worn. I have yet to autograph it.

A 50th birthday cake for Robin. The cake is covered with MMF, colored tan (though it turned out kind of pinky/fleshy colored) and then dusted with old gold luster dust. Mehndi designs are piped on using a #2 tip and royal icing. If I do something like this again, I'll go even smaller.

All credit goes to those before me...I was requested to do a cake for a pregnant friend whose husband told me "she's huge and her belly button is about to pop". I went to CC for ideas and fell in love with the tshirt and hospital gown cakes. The boobs and belly are molded with rice crispy treats and the skin and sari are MMF. Such fun! Thanks for the inspiration!

I got this idea from the "Charm City Cakes" website. For those who do not know, that is the company that the TV show "ACE OF CAKES" is about. AWESOME show. I love it. Well, this is my rendition of one of their beautiful cakes. When I showed my parents this cake they said, "What is it?" UUUGH. A cake does not need to look like a specific object. It can be just a design. CAKE ART!

I really didn't like this cake, but the people were thrilled. A basic 8" with gumpaste/fondant sandstone vase, feathers, dreamcatcher and blanket. I really need to work on my writing too.

This is my first topsy turvy cake. I follwed the directions on CC. Very fun, fairly easy. I had some trouble with the decorations and the cake looks unfinished to me. MMF braided rope, gumpaste feathers and white chocolate animals, hiawatha belt, and Seneca Nation Seal.

I made this cake for my husband and I celebrating our second year of marriage. It is a miniature cake with 2", 3" and 4" tiers. These tiers are covered in rolled fondant. The cake itself is a rich west indian fruitcake made with fruits that have been steeped in liquor.
