Cupcakes baked in ice cream cones and decorated in decorator's icing. Made these for my son's 8th birthday for a lunch time birthday party at his school for his class. The teacher really loved this idea instead of the traditional cake or cupcakes - far less mess!

Fast and very easy cake made from the Wilton Flower Pot pan. The idea was taken from the Wilton Yearbook 2002. I have made several of these for my daughters' school's Ice Cream Social.

I know this isn't my best work, but I think it came out cute. It is the first time I tried for a BCT. This is a rocky road ice cream/chocolate cake with Dawn's buttercream icing. It is for my son's Kindergarten Graduation. The school isn't doing any kind of ceremony so I decided to to one at home. Made him a little diploma and everything!!!

My son's newest love is M&M ice cream sandwiches. So I made his birthday cake look like a giant one. Baked a cookie 2 inches larger than the cake and placed it on top.

This is a spice cake with pumpkin ice cream. I used Cool Whip to ice the cake. Borders and writing are classic home-made cream cheese icing. Baby is made from fondant, which was dropped onto the cake. Fondant baby was easily removed by client prior to slicing.

Strawberry cake with Haagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream (with chopped animal cookies mixed in the ice cream). Vanilla icing, buttercream trim/borders. Writing and number 2 made from pink chocolate melts. Flavor combination seemed popular with adults as well as the kids.

Chocolate cake with Buttercream icing. Royal on the towers. Chocolate candies as borders and doors. Thought I had the towers straight, until I photographed it! Angle is everything where ice cream cones are concerned!!! It was a fun "first castle". :-)

This cake always gets rave reviews! It is from the Wilton site. It is a sheet cake frosted in buttercream with extra-tall top border also in buttercream. Then you put scoops of different flavored ice cream on top, add chopped bananas, drained pineapple chunks and nuts. Pipe a swirl on top of each scoop of ice cream and a cherry on top. Then drizzle chocolate syrup all over. It is YUMMY!

This was my entry for the 2006 Cakes on Parade Contest sponsored by the San Diego Cake Club. The whole event proceeds went to MDA. The burger patty is dark & milk chocolate; the cheese, tomato & pickle are candy clay (tomato & pickle also piping gel); bun & onion are fondant; lettuce is gum paste; fries are marzipan; root beer is gelatin; ice cream is white chocolate. I took second place in the hand molded chocolate/non-cake category.

This was my first attempt at an ice cream cake. Bottom layer chocolate ice cream, hot fudge and chocolate cookie filling, and top layer vanilla ice cream. Completely iced in whipped cream frosting and decorated in piping gel. It may not be the prettiest cake or the neatest decorating that I've done but was it ever good!

This is a picture of a rush job I did over the weekend. The cake was for my step-daughter's 7th birthday. She loves Strawberry Shortcake. I made the cake strawberry. I torted it and put strawberry filling inside the two layers. Underneath the cake I put strawberry cheesecake ice cream. I would love some advise on how to decorate an icecream cake without leaning over our chest freezer for a couple of hours to do this. My husband just suggested using a pan of dry ice to put the cake in.

I made a cake for both my co-workers and one of the likes to fish and the other likes orange roses and both like cookies and cream so I came up with this cake. This was my first ice cream cake. I'm still a beginner so I didn't get to really detail it. Everyone at work loved it!!

I filled each cones with cake batter and let it bake in the 350* oven for 30-35 mins. I use BC to make it looks like a real ice cream. My son and his classmates LOVED it!

We had a swim party for the end of the year & I needed a quick, easy dessert for the kids...plus it needed to be easily transported. Came up with the idea of the cups and the m&m's...the candy gave the cones a 'seat' and kept them from flopping around. Plus, the kids were able to munch on it, then put it back in their cup and swim or play some more...worked out great! Chocolate, vanilla & strawberry cake w/chocolate & vanilla BC. Thanks for looking!

I made these for my daughter's school. She loved the rainbow colors. She will be having a care bear party, so these were to compliment the theme.

My mother LOVES ice cream, so I thought this would be a fun cake for her. Yellow butter cake with BC (crumb coat and whipped cream), fondant (Wilton and dark chocolate Satin Ice), melted Wilton dark chocolate (hot fudge), Butterscotch sauce mixed with melted white chocolate (butterscotch sauce), and candied cherries. Oval pan for boat, mini balls for scoops.

2 layer sheet cake (bottom 3rd layer is actually the pan for extra height). Top is a 6" 2 layer round yellow cake. 1/2 choc, 1/2 yellowcake, all BC except the door which is MMF. Turrets are regular ice cream cones end to end in part of a paper towel tube covered in press n seal saran wrap then topped with sugar cones covered in MMF. I designed a special crest for him as he makes his own mead (sort of like wine but made with honey- where the word honeymoon came from!). Very fun!

This was my first attempt at an ICC Figure. I was happy with how it turned out and so was the little boy it was made for. He is all buttercream with an ICC interior support.
