Here is the second gingerbread house that I made. The kit came from Wal-mart and was pre-baked. I assembled and decorated. Added a few extra goodies--frosted mini wheats on the roof, cookie tree and fence. These things are addictive.

I did these for a friend's boss. She wanted cookies shipped to her sister to say thanks and congrats on buying her first home. First time shipping an assembled bouquet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Made this for an Italian customer whose husband loves log cabins, squirrels, and mountains. first floor part is family recipe for red velvet cake with white chocolate cream cheese BC and second floor and roof is Dark Chocolate Fudge cake with mocha BC made with homemade Vanilla Bean Coffee Liquer. All covered in Homemade Dark Chocolate Candy Clay. Smoke coming from chimney is Royal icing. Had my boys holding a blow drier to it for 30 minutes so it would dry in time. Yikes

This cake gave me fits!! Just before I put dowels through the house it fell OFF the 8" cake! Aaaahhh! Thank God for crusting BC, it was actually repairable without too much trouble. The images at the bottom of the pic were around the 8" cake, all drawn freehand directly on the cake. I have a Joe & Blue candle for in front of the house too.

White cake with strawberry cream filling. The theme was flowers and fairies and I saw this in a book and loved it. The mushroom house is covered in fondant and the fairy and snail are gumpaste. It was a lot of fun to make and I was really pleased with the result.

I was aked to make a beach house cake for a friend's mother. Shew always wanted a beach house with a wrap around porch. My friend drew up the plans (she was very specific yellow house, tall grass, short grass, path way, dunes, sand, water) I felt like a contractor working for a architect. (kinda fun) All I had to do was bring it to life. It's yellow cake with BC. white chocolate for the railings and stairs.

I made this cake for a 4-yr old who loves Scooby Doo and everything scary! It's made of 4- 9' square cakes stacked, royal windows, doors and roof and chocolate fences! We had a slight problem transporting this cake~ but everyone thought the house was crooked on purpose!

This little boy had an obsession with garbage trucks (!), so it was the theme for his 5th birthday party (the garbage men were even coming out to visit for the kids)! 12x18 vanilla sheet with buttercream icing. Garbage truck itself is a foam toy. Houses/trash cans/bins are rice crispie treats covered in fondant and royal icing acccents.

Around the base cake I wrote, "You know you're a redneck if your birthday cake looks like your house!" This cake was done for a huge Jeff Foxworthy fan who just turned 18. They wanted something that would be redneck-like so this is what I came up with. It is a trailer house with the hitch still attached (made out of pretzels and white chocolate) and an unfinished fence (also pretzels). The house is cake baked in a loaf pan.

I made this for my new neighbors. I made it look exactly like their house style. The bricks were done with the basket weave tip (flat side) per a forum suggestion. I also used that tip for the shingles on the roof.

I made this for my boss as a housewarming gift. The lucky bamboo plant is supposed to be a gesture of good luck for your home, so instead of getting him a real plant I made a lucky bamboo cake. Chocolate fudge cake with peanut butter filling covered in MMF. Bamboo and rocks are MMF, dirt is crushed Oreo cookies.

This cake was inspired by a Debbie Brown book. All decorations are made of MMF with the exception of the brown sugar dirt. It won First Place (Blue Ribbon) at the Plumas County Fair, California - Fair Theme Cake Class. Yippee!!!

My sister got a new house, and I wanted to suprise her with a cake that resembles hers.Of course her's is in better shape LOL. Anyhow it is a 11x15 cake pan, the house is a 9x13 cut into 3rds, and stacked. All is iced in buttercream. The roof is slanted with graham crackers, and covered in black MMF.The mulch is crushed graham crackers, added fake trees, and the shrubs are a dab of BC ,walkway, windows and shutters are MMF

I did this cake for my niece's 4th birthday. She had been telling me for months that she wanted a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine cake, then about a week ago she walked up to me and said "PLANS!!! Have changed!" Apparently Strawberry Shortcake is her NEW new favorite. Strawberry. leaves, and bow are MMF, bottom and flowers are done in buttercream. Cake was strawberry with strawberry filling. My only regret is that green buttercream isn't brighter.

I made this for an Air Force retirement celebration. Buttercream with fresh strawberrys in middle. MMF accents. It's hard to tell how big this cake is in the picture but it can feed at least 100 people.
