I made this one for my niece in Puerto Rico...It passed security at the airport, but not without making an impression on everyone...When it passed through the X-ray machine, the woman was in total disbelief! She said "I have a Hello Kitty on my screen, we have an emergency". Anyhow, my niece loved it and that made my day ;-)

This is my first chocolate transfer. The black ran a little when I added the white chocolate. (I tried to repair the eyes a little after the fact).

this is the first time i've ever attempted to do a tiered cake. my friend wanted a hello kitty tiered cake, and this one was inspired by a cake here on CC. It's not perfect, but it'll do...LOL. Constructive criticism and suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I used the animal cracker pan for this cake. I hope I am the only one who keeps seeing a pig instead of a kitty.

This cake was made for my cousin's birthday. She saw a picture of this cake on another website, so this is not an original design. White chocolate hazelnut cake, with white chocolate ganache. Covered in fondant, with a hand moulded Kitty made out of gumpaste. Gumpaste plaque, stamped lettering, dusted with chalk and sparkle dust.

Drew this on cake to match the plate! Did a sheet cake to put this on - did it with pink and white to match plate! Was disappointed the next day because the black bled a little bit (used the Wilton tube of black--won't do that again!) Cut the cake at an angle (saw this on another web site, I think)

I made this cake for my daughter's 9th b-day. (She's a BIG Hello Kitty fan, if you can't tell!) The handle and all the decorations are made from fondant. First time w/ 3-D cake. Wasn't as easy as I thought!

I made this for my daughters birthday to take to school. This one gave me a hard time but my daughter and her classmates liked it. I misjudged the size of the cupcake cake so my BCT was way too big. Also, my BCT somehow got folded in the freezer so it didn't turn out very smooth. I tried to fix it but was afraid I would push the whole thing through an opening in the cupcake cake and really make things worse, LOL!! Oh well, lesson learned I hope!

This was a cake I did for my daughters 1st birthday. She just loves hello kitty : ). I attempted to make hello kitty out of fondant. She doesn't look much like hello kitty, but my daughter didn't seem to mind.

This is the cake I made for my office's January Birthday Celebration. My birthday is in January and I collect Hello Kitty, so I figured that since I had to make my own birthday cake, I'd at least make one that I wanted!

The bottom layer is a 10" round made of butter cake with raspberry filling. The top layer is also a 10" round that I trimmed to make the face. It is chocolate fudge cake. All iced with buttercream.

For my neice's b-day. Not quite what I wanted but better than the 1st version-that one looked de-ranged!! I think I'll try to make more of it with fondant. She picked the colors and design-she's so cute!

Okay this one is a bit gawdy for my usual tastes but it matched the party decorations and Little Zoelette loved it. It started out as a much more adventurous project. I was determined to make the Hello Kitty topper out of cake. I went out and bought the Wilton mini teddy bear mold, and baked up four of them. I started with the first one and cut the face down, peaked the ears, and bobbed the tail off...but then got stuck...(more below)
