Here is my take on the christening gown cake that I've seen others do beautifully! This cake was for a co-workers baby girl's christening. White chocolate cake with raspberry preserve filling, covered in BC. Used diamond impression mat with edible pearls. Dress is made from fondant. Edible pearls on details as well.

This is a fbct of Cinderella. It is a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. It is 2 9x13 cakes pushed together. The face was not easy to do, but it turned out okay. The picture of Cinderella came from a google search, not a coloring page.

Here is a sample of the cookies I did for the Wedding Fanfare hosted by our newspaper. The tuxedo idea came from Antonia74 (Big Thank You), don't know if I have ever seen a bride one but this is what I came up with. If someone has done it before--Thnks for the idea. Lots of inquiries were garnered at the show.

Double-layer 1/2 slab cake cut into dress shape for Bridal Shower. Filled with fresh sliced strawberries. I wanted the bottom of the dress to look like ruffles, so I used the #104 tip to make a crinolin look.

This cake was made for my cousin this weekend. She wanted me to make figures of her and her friends to put on the cake. I thought a graduation hat style cake would be a good surface to put them on. All fondant on the cake and the figures had a base of styrofoam ball and cone. I used a cake board and covered it with fondant for the flat part of the hats.

This cake was entirely designed based on the bride's dress...which was a secret from her groom. Copied the scrolls on the bodice of her dress, with silver dragees and edible pearl buttons.

I had hoped for red roses as the topper for a more classic look, but got lillies that were larger than my head. Oh just gotta laugh!

I have been dying to make a dress cake and was excited when I got an order for a baby girl's baptism cake. I suggested this type of cake to the customer (even though I had never made one before) and showed her some pictures of similar cakes. She loved the idea, and the pressure was on! It took me just about all day to make, but I was pleased (and relieved) with the results. Cake was cut out of a sheet cake and frosted with buttercream icing. Thanks to those who provided help through the "How Do I" forum!

Each 'princess' who attended DD birthday party was allowed to choose a gown and tiara of her choice to add to the crystal slippers already in their goodie bags. These were fun to make with a 3 year old providing a lot of direction with which colors and icing tips to use! LOL

I made this cake for a bridal shower recently after seeing a picture posted by Antonia74. I tried to change it up a little bit with the flower, sparkle dust, and the bodice of the cake. It is half choc/half white sheet cake that is filled and iced with buttercream. The ribbons extending from the bottom are charm pulls for all the bridesmaids and flower girl. Cut from a 12 X 18 tracing a heart shaped cake pan for the bodice. Thanks for the inspiration Antonia74.

The top cake is supposed to be a replica of the brides dress, thank heavens it was just a simple strapless gown! 60 cupcakes in all, 30 of them IMBC chocolate with chocolate Irish cream filling, the other 30 vanilla filled with chocolate raspberry buttercream. All of them iced with vanilla IMBC and topped with an IMBC forget-me-not flower. The bride-to-be loved it and wouldn't let anyone touch the top cake, she took that one home!

Thanks to 4dollars for the inspiration for this one!

I was inspired by ellepal's gorgeous wedding gown cake last weekend to make one of my own - this one patterned after my own wedding dress. It's a 6, 8, 10, 12, covered in MMF with MMF bows and pearls. The embroidery and scalloping at the bottom are royal painted with super pearl. Satin ribbons around the bottom of each tier and silk flowers on top. The inset picture shows how the tiers line up at the back. I'm really happy with this one!

Yellow cake with buttercream frosting and decorations. The only thing I had to go on for this cake was the lady wanted a baby dress, bonnet and the colors were to be pale lavendar, yellow and green. I think it is now my favorite of all my baby shower cakes, so far . . . I know, I say that EVERY time!

This is my Wilton Class Three Final Cake - I was totally inspired by Spottydog (hope you don't mind), who did a gorgeous corset bridal gown cake. I switched it up a bit with my bow, borders and flowers. Also adjusted the swag for a less bustled look and for 2 tiers. I am really happy with it! Wish I had made this for my own wedding.

Here is a cake I did for my SIL. She's a pastry chef in NYC so I was under a little pressure on this one. I'm very happy with how it came out and everyone loved it - they had never seen one like this before. I must thank Cakeconfections and Tripletmom for their help and inspiration for this cake. You guys are the best!

Made for twin girls birthday - mom said they LOVE playing dress-up with their Barbie dolls, so why not give them Barbie in a ball gown? :-)

Oh man. Yes, I made a wedding gown cake. After a misunderstanding I decided not to make my original idea of the Wilton Court of Colors. She only has one brides maid. So after scouring this website we decided on the wedding dress. Two days before cake was due she sent me the picture of her dress... IT HAD SLEEVES! Another wrench thrown in my plans. Yikes!
