This is it! My first stacked and/or tiered cake. I was very happy with how well it turned out. They were happy with it too! She wanted yellow cake with no filling (?), buttercream and pillars - that was it. I decorated how I wanted. Three tiers 12", 8" and 6"; yellow cake with buttercream and fondant ribbon roses and filler flowers with gold ribbon, leaves and dragees.

I made this cake a favor to my mom for a lady who was retiring in her office (She herself retired about two months later). It took a while to figure out what I was gonna do, but I knew a lot of companies give out gold watches to employees who retire and decided that was the theme I'd use.

This is a heavy fruit cake, with marzipan, and fondant. The inspiration was a cake from Kerry Vincent's "Romantic Wedding Cakes". But, as this was a Golden Wedding, I adapted it a bit, to introduce the gold. I used realistic looking fondant roses too, instead of the "satin roses". It was hard work but so rewarding! I was very pleased with it.

MMF Three Layer Golden Anniversary Cake with Edible Pearls and Edible Gold Dust MMF Lace. This is my FLOP cake. The heat was an unbearable 110 degrees that day and the building had NO A/C. Bummer! But, I put this cake in my album to remind me that things can always be worse. This is pretty darn bad! Thank goodness we keep on decorating, right?

8" round, classic white with pineapple filling. Iced in buttercream with royal icing flowers. I could decorate however I wanted, so I used leftover icing and flowers and 50th anniversary cake.

I made this birthday cake for my golden Maverick for his 3rd birthday, LOL! It is white chocolate with white chocolate buttercream. It was based on the dog cakes I've seen on this site.

Hi new to CakeCentral. I've decorated several party cakes for friends and family but this was my first larger tiered cake. It was for a co-worker's parents 50th anniversary. Not very elaborate on the decorating, but for my first, I thought it turned out pretty well.

Inspired by PGray. Not as good as hers, but a fair representation, I thought! The customer was beaucoup pleased. Top and bottom tiers are white with raspberry filling, plain buttercream, middle tier is chocolate with raspberry filling and white chocolate buttercream.

My first cake of large size. I did this for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. The tiers are 6, 8, 10, and 14" with the the 8 and 14 being single layers and the 6 and 10 being double. My first time using luster dust, which was really fun! The dots were supposed to be dragees but the ones I ordered looked far too yellow next to the scrolls, so I painted royal dots with luster dust. I was really happy with the outcome and my grandparents loved it!

Waaay back in the day - in college for my grandparents 50th. Buttercream roses, gold foil leaves, gold plastic 50th in the center of bottom tier, all buttercream - and probably some version of Wilton Buttercream at that!! Still it came out very pretty, I must have stacked it there, but I don't even remember. You can see me working on it in one of the photos LOL! I so wish I had a better photo, because I think it was really quite good.

This 1/2 sheet double layer cake was made for a golden birthday. The lady that ordered the cake saw a cake that I had done for an anniversary celebration and wanted the same cake without the picture. She wanted cornelli lace with the words Happy Birthday. I was not too pleased with the outcome of the cake but the customer was pleased so that's all that really matters.
