This one I designed for 2 bankers who were very meticulous... from the sponsor cake giveaways,to it's packaging, cake tasting and their photo for the cake! But it was all worth the try! I used fresh flowers here , water fountain and played around with tulle and series lights to get that dreamy look. This is a satellite cake. Hope you like this.

This is a cake done for a lady at work, it was her husband's birthday. It is VERY similar to a cake I did for mother's day, but I wanted to post this one because I am getting better with my ganache technique. It was prety smooth this time and the buttercream underneath did not melt.

First attempt at reverse shell. I like it! Once you get the pattern going. The sides of the cake and smaller reverse shell around the middle and letters are dark green. Interesting excercise figuring out how to do the top one color and the sides another.

I made my first fancy cake for a 50th birthday. It was inspired by one of Colette Peter's cakes. Of course, hers was much better. The roses are gumpaste. The swags and outlines are royal icing. The rest is fondant. I used some pearl dust and gold dust for the jewelry look. Oh, I also made a gold 50 out of gumpaste to stick in the top but the cake wouldn't fit in the box with it on it so no pic.

This was my first big sheet cake! It took me forever! The customer wanted gold and hunter green and I could not, for the life of me, get a gold color out of bc. So, I did a pale yellow and painted gold luster dust on the flowers. My writing is unfortunate but I am working on that!

These were SO fun! Each guest at a Bollywood-inspired party received one with their name.
They matched the saris draped everywhere at the venue.

Anyone know how I could have finished the bottom neatly? For some reason I do better with novelty cakes...these ones that "everyone" knows how to do are difficult for me for some reason! Anyway the bow is made of candy...I tried a fondant one and it didn't work out so someone showed me how to make the candy melt kind and it did work! I definately need practice though.... no wonder I can't get any wedding cake orders!!!!

Had an extra 6 inch from last (and first) order so I decided to experiment. This is my first "drape" along with swirly thingys (the technical term ya know) I think my royal icing was too thick.

# 2 view. Dark Chocolate mud sheet cake Covered in ganache, for a 30th.Party theme was GOLD as first name translated means GOLD and surname is HAMMER. Originally she wanted me to have a FLAT edible image made and just lay it on the top of the cake. She provided me with image that a graphic artist friend made for her. I suggested a 3d of some sort. We made the hammer out of fondant with gum trag and my hubby… clever lad that he is hand painted it… all edible and non toxic… set solid... may crack teeth. lol

A very traditional Anniversary cake done for my daughter's teacher, whose parents were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They are a very religious family and wanted a reading from the bible included. Not being a church goer, this was a daunting task, also, not having any experiece piping with royal icing and I was nervous to say the least.

This was my first layer cake and fondant cake which I made for my 18th birthday.
It took about 2days, 1day bakking 6layers, 1day putting filling in and decorating it.

The top layer was Chipolata pudding
The second layer was White chocolate cream mixed with whipped cream and some raspberrys.
The third layer was Very chocolaty.

I dont bake a lot at all, and it was a tiny bit crooked, but the result was great, so im definantly doing it again sometime!
