These are my version of the cover picture of Martha's new cookie magazine. Gingerbread cookie with royal icing and sparkling sugar. The gingerbread has pepper in it and gives it a nice touch.

I made this cake for my sister-in-law. She lives in Wisconsin and we're in NJ. She's in the process of adopting 3 children and since most of our friends and family hadn't met them my mil had a party for them yesterday. This is the cake I came up with...please ignore the awful handwriting on the cake....I thought my regular left handing handwriting is bad? It's 10x worse with an icing bag in hand!!!

Gingerbread cookies with Antonia's royal icing. Just playing with the cookies-not a very good job. Kids wanted to put sprinkles on some.

Here are the "cookies" I did for the museum's wreaths. They were the baker's clay instead of cookie dough. Had several air bubbles in them (I didn't bake them) and the icing would not adhere too well, not porous, they really needed to be painted. All in all, I think they turned out OK

This is my take on the idea shown on Wilton's website. I made it for my husband to take to work tomorrow. I just sent him the photo, and he's all excited. :)

I've caught a baking bug and couldn't wait to make my gingerbread house. It's smaller than the last one I made with less candies but I will make up for it next year. I hope you enjoy looking at it. The windows are like stained glass but do not show up very well in the picture. I melted cinnamon and butterscotch hard candy along with green suckers to create the stained glass effect.

This g-house kit was done by my 5 year old. I was in charge of the bag of icing but she told me where to put it! I let her do all the decorating and didn't interfere at all, which is a major accomplishment for me!!! I kept my mouth shut! She did great!

I made 16 of these giant cookies (6" tall) for my dd's class. I love how they turned out but even though the design was fairly simple, they took forever!! : )

This is a cake I made for my families Christmas party and seeing as that practically everyone in my family but me is diabetic I had to cut the sugar in both the cake and frosting. That was hard but it was actually pretty good if I do say so myself. I made the tree with the ice cream cone. I love doing those... but they kill your hand too! :o)

This is a gingerbread house I made a couple of years ago in Chicago. We have since moved to Tampa and I have found making gingerbread is very different here in this weather!

This was my first gingerbread house in Florida! And boy did the humidity wreak havoc on it! Things did not dry, gingerbread slumped, etc. Anyway, I did this for a coffee house event at our church. The "baked goods" in the window are made of gumpaste - the mini gingerbread houses are caramels with gum for the roof. This was a challenge, but fun!!!

My son won 1st place in local Gingerbread contest. He was able to have adult assistance and my mom and I helped. We were quite pleased with his result. First time for him, second time for me.

First time I've done cookie decorating with royal. Tried to do a run in technique, but this was the month before I started my first decorating class, and I've learned so much since then I'm almost embarrassed what I didn't know when I made these.

Made for a pre-school class named "The Gingerbreads" for their end-of-year splash party. The parent that ordered them wanted to make sure that they were personalized for each classmate so they wouldn't fight over which swimsuit they got!
