This is just a very simple wedding cake. Bottom layer is a chocolate cake with a Bailey's chocolate silk mousse. Second layer is carrot cake with cream cheese filling. Top layer is actually just a 6" cake pan. All iced in buttercream and decorated with gerber daisies.

This is the other mini cake I took to my meeting w/the wedding planner. This cake was white w/strawberry filling, and a silk flower on top. She really liked this one, it turns out strawberry is her favorite!

I found this design on this site and I loved it! I was given free reign over this cake design, so here it is! It was for a wedding shower this weekend. I had a hard time finding gerber daisies, so I had to subsitute. Thanks for looking!

This was for a girl who loves Gerber daisies, and she's also half Egyptian. She wears a necklace with her name in Arabic, which is on the top. The idea was to look like a floral dress, but I wasn't happy with the way the "pleats" came out. I think my MMF was too soft for the effect I was looking for. Also, by the time I took this picture after getting to work - the top layer had started to slide off! I shoved it back on, but it made the pleats look worse. Oh well. She still loved it!

This is the first cake that I have done that had fresh flowers on it. I LOVE THE LOOK! This cake was a vanilla cake with regular buttercream icing. The cake was 12",10" and a 8" round. Simple free-handed scroll work on the sides

This is the cake I did for a pre-wedding reception. I had to incorporate gerber daisies with seashells. I think it worked out ok.

This cake is a first birthday cake for a precious little girl. We thought a big bow on the top would be cute with the gerber daisies. Well, I got a little carried away and the bow got REALLY big. I like it! One of my favorite cakes so far!

This was an adoption baby shower cake. The couple was getting a baby from Russia. We were all so thrilled. My first tiered cake and I try to do a topsy/turvy?!?! The gerbera daisies & butterflies are white idea I saw from the whimsical bakehouse cookbook.

This cake was made for a couple who were wed outdoors by a 100 year old barn. It is covered with fresh Gerbera daisies - some woven around the fondant picket fence on the bottom tier others woven around the custom made cake topper.

This cake is for a lovely couple that is getting married. They wanted this cake for their engagement party. First cake using fresh flowers. I put them in water picks and put waxed paper under them so the flowers did not touch the cake in any way.

vanilla cake with strawberry filling for the top layer and fudge cake with truffle filling for the bottom layer. Buttercream frosting, fondant accents with fresh gerber daisies, and chocolate name plaques. It was hot today so it melted
some on the 65 mile commute to the graduation from college celebration
of my daughter and neice.

Final set up of the daisy retirement cakes on site! The cakes were inspired by a picture that the principal gave me. I don't know who the picture came from, so I don't know who to give credit to...but thank you!! They loved them!

This is my 3rd wedding cake (I'm an amateur) and was a gift for my brother in law. They had an antique tea-parlour style wedding and the bride wanted something simple and elegant. I chose the pearl necklace look around each tier with tiny pearl drops, and gerber daisies which last a long time after they are cut. She loved it and I was pleased with how it turned out. I have never done 3 tiers before.
