Ok...this is my first official cake ...I got the idea from Wilton's Celebrating with Fondant book. I did this for my sisters bridal shower. The cake and flowers are all made from fondant. I had a lot of fun putting it all together.

This was the cake I made for my own wedding. Very simple, main section was basic french vanilla cake and satellites were chocolate, all iced with snowwhite buttercream, fresh flower accents.

This cake was for my Mom's office. I got to choose any theme for the decorations, and thought this would be fun.

Here is a combination of different materials: the cake itself is covered with buttercream, and also the grass. The flowers and the fountain are made of gumpaste.

This cake was inspired by yet another one of Collette's cakes. Also, my first time using luster dust, boy I love that stuff.

Course 2 Garden cake, color flow butterflies and fence, royal flowers (including a carnation, which wasn't taught in class!) My Daughter chose the colors, hence the blue basketweave, but I am very pleased with how it all came out. The vines on the fence were the instructors idea -- i think it looks awesome.

two oval cakes for two retiring members of the local department of Education. She was a gardener, he liked music. These were made for the retirees to take home to their families after the party (the large cake that looks llke a chalkboard w/ LOTS of writing on it was the party cake)

My first lattice work. I still cannot make buttercream roses, so these are rosettes with a drop flower border. Just another to add to my collection.

This class was really fun. I enjoyed learning to make all the flowers. My roses and basketweave still need work.

This cake is a duplicate of a wedding cake found in an older "Martha S." magazine. This cake was false, created for a display cake for a wedding show. The icing is royal icing, including the "bark" base cake which was then hand painted using liquid brown food colouring. The grape vine both around the base of the cake and the arbour for the bride and groom is real.

Inspired by the baby's room which is decorated in Gossamer products. Decorated with buttercream icing and chocolate. I like how all the chocolate pieces turned out.

My sister & I made this cake for my mom's 75th birthday. She loves gardening. We got the idea from this website. I apologize for not remembering the name. Made the animals, basket & rake from gumpaste. Cake was lemon with faux fondant icing.

This cake was both a challenge and a joy! The 'pot' was made from a 6X3 and 8X3 rounds that were stacked and then carved to look like the pot, later covered in buttercream and fondant. The leaves are fondant streaked with holly green lustre dust and the flowers are bought gumpaste flowers that I coloured. Shovel and trowel hand made from fondant, base is covered in fondant and I used a cobblestone impression mat and later did a 'wash' with diluted black colour.

A Peter Rabbit cake made for a Peter Rabbit themed baby shower. The cake is a 15 X 18 double layer, yellow sheet cake iced and filled with butter cream. The dirt on top was made by grinding graham crackers and brown sugar in a food processor. The grass is butter cream piped with the grass tip. Peter Rabbit, fence, cabbages, cauliflower, carrots, shovel, terra cotta pots, bird and mouse were molded from fondant. The whole cake was edible!!! The mom to be loved it!

This was done for a friends birthday. Under the flowers I did a string work picket fence and arch that I forgot to photograph before adding the royal icing flowers. The cake is a butter cake with buttercream icing. I was upset because the icing would not smooth all the way out. Although, I did like the way the decorating came out.

This was the first fondant figure I've ever made. I dusted him with luster dust for some color, except his eyes, which I just painted the tiniest pieces fondant with black coloring gel. Everthing else was made with buttercream, including the veggies (I'm sure you can tell). If I would have had more time, I would have given him a fondant fence, but I felt I was too new at it to really "go for it"... maybe I should have =) Thanks for looking!
