This was for my son's birthday. I was soooo happy to not have to bake and frost a cake since I has so many paying cakes due. This was a store bought pound cake and twinkie and the scooped out part was the fries, raspberry preserves for the ketchup.

The top (bun) was a 9" layer of cake, on a cake board. Middle of burger was pound cake. Bottom (bun) was the other 9" layer of cake. Used cylinder 'plastic' dowels in middle, as I recall, to hold weight of top cake.I put a dowel through entire cake, so no slippage while transporting. I punched out all the sesame seeds from G.P. flower cutter; then airbrushed them for 2-toned effect. Also, airbrushed the bun. The lettuce, tomato, and onion were made from fondant. French fries were fondant and airbrushed

This was my entry for the 2006 Cakes on Parade Contest sponsored by the San Diego Cake Club. The whole event proceeds went to MDA. The burger patty is dark & milk chocolate; the cheese, tomato & pickle are candy clay (tomato & pickle also piping gel); bun & onion are fondant; lettuce is gum paste; fries are marzipan; root beer is gelatin; ice cream is white chocolate. I took second place in the hand molded chocolate/non-cake category.

This cake was a NIGHTMARE! I tried to many new things on it and it just fell apart. The lemon curd I made was too runny so the bottom the cake totally sogged through. Then it was supposed to be standing up but I had to lay it doesn because I couldn't figure out how to transport it safely. It was supposed to be covered in MMF, but I used different marshmallows than I usually do and my fondant was just moosh. Oh well, my nephew loved it and that's all that matters. Frylock is a character on his fave show.

This cake was done for my nephew, who celebrated his birthday at a family cook out. The base was a 1/2 sheet cake covered with marshmallow fondant painted with food dye to look like a table cloth. The hamburger was made from 3 8in. cakes with fondant accents.

This is a three-layer cake done in buttercream with fondant trims. I have a small cake business and a website, and am wondering if I offered detailed instructions on how to make these and other similar cakes, if they would sell and for how much. I need honest opinions!

This cake was for my aunt and uncle who just opened a to-go restaurant. 11x15x2 buter pecan rum cake with butter rum buttercream. If there was any more butter...LOL. I piped a red blob of "ketchup" for the fries after I took the pic and then forgot to take another pic.

This burger and fries cake was made for a BBQ at a friends house. The fries are made from fondant and airbrushed. The bun is made with a yellow cake, covered in fondant and airbrushed to give that hamburger bun look. The patty was made from cubing one baked chocolate cake and mixing with chocolate buttercream frosting and molding it into a patty shaped and dried. The lettuce and cheese are both fondant. The cheese was glossy after I coated it with corn syrup. Then I piped on the sesame seeds to finish

I know this is not original but my grandson wanted an eight patty burger cake. It is all made using buttercream icing except the pickles which are cream cheese mints.

This was really easy - loaf pans with the center cut out & reserved for the fries. I used little roll Hostess Cakes - two for each hot dog & covered them in frosting. The mustard & ketchup is just frosting...the relish is fruit roll ups cut up.

Chocolate cake w/fresh strawberry filing, chocolate buttercream, lettuce, tomato are MMF, cheese is molding chocolate. Fries are butter cookies, an idea I got on CC (sorry I don't remember from who), but they didn't look as good as the original.

someone ordered for a friend at work. All bc except for cheese. Cheese is
modeling chocolate. no one could figure out what the cheese was. :-) The
person who's birthday it was wouldn't cut it. I've done burgers before but w/o cheese. Thanks for looking.

White cake frosted in buttercream. All buttercream decorations except for the "food". The hamburgers are Nilla Wafers for the bun and a Thin Mint for the patty. The French fries are made using Starburst cut with the Pampered Chef crinkle cutter which I had heated in the microwave about 5 seconds to soften them. It's hard to see in the picture, but the little black specks are buttercream ants.
