50th Birthday Party cake for my best friends parents. Their 50th birthday are only 2 weeks apart from each others so their daughters threw them a suprise party. Fondant/gumpaste figurines of the parents sliding into the graveyard. It was my first time making figurines. Everything is fondant/gumpaste.

The Pechina was my first attempt at making Fondant & Gumpaste Roses... I was thrilled with how they turned out! If I never have to do buttercream / RI roses again... I'm fine with that :)
I used Fresh Strawberries for the filling that I just chopped up in my food processor for a few seconds. I was really happy w/ how that turned out.

This was my final cake for the Wilton Gumpaste & Fondant class. It was the first time that I made a flower pot cake. The icing was way too soft (cream cheese) and the cake collapsed. Good thing it wasn't for somebody else, just for the class! But it was fun :0)

This was my first attempt using fondant and also my first attempt working with gumpaste. I'm not real happy with the way it turned out, but with it being my first time I guess it's not too bad. Luckily, it wasn't for a paying customer.

10" round cake, fresh lemon with fresh lemon BC icing. Edible image accents and fondant ribbon roses. Gumpaste circles to hold the little e.image clockfaces. Credit to CC for the idea. I made two of these for two different girls from the same school. I airbrushed them green, so my whole house is green, due to the airconditioner being on at the time. I got the cake idea from sugar creations. Letters are gumpaste made with the tappits cutters.

10" square cake with my first "nice" fondant/gumpaste bow. I would like to thank franjmc for putting the tutorial online-my first attempts were not so great! My husband thought I put fabric on the cake! These were brushed with my new Cake Central luster dusts in amethyst and super pearl. I think it gave a gorgeous sheen to the regal purple fondant/gumpaste mix.

Well, here it is. This cake had so many new elements for me. I just wanted to challenge myself and see if I could do it. Some of my flowers turned out really great...some of them, not so great. =-> I left corn starch on some of my fondant so that was kind of a newbie thing to do. The baby is modeling chocolate and it's my first time working with that medium. (Don't I sound like an artist instead of a cake maker? ;-P ) Anyway, it was a huge hit and the whole party loved it. Yay!
This is the front.

This cake was for a little girl having a pirate and mermaid party. She wanted lifelike models of her in a mermaid costume and her sister as a pirate!! The cake is all edible with fondant and gumpaste, I did use moulds for the faces and shells.
