Sorry this pic isn't very clear. This was a bunch of "firsts" for me. First time using Satin Ice, molding with rice krispy treats (bed, night stand, and chest), and making fondant figures. The black-haired girl actually has on orange and yellow tie-dye type PJ's. The brown-haired girl has on a yellow nightgown with blue hearts. The bed and the rug are yellow with pink dots. This was a lot of fun to do, but that Satin Ice was very tempting. . .it really is good!! Thanks for looking!

This cake was created for a camping themed birthday party. It is roughly iced with bc to
imitate lumpy grass covered ground. The figures are all hand sculpted fondant. Thanks to
cakenut516 for the inspiration.

This was a 4 x 4 square - triple stacked, on top of a 12 inch pillow. Turrets are from the Wilton Castle set, as is the top house triangle. Mr. Sandman sit atop all those mattresses sleeping, with his bag of dreams by his side. Night Caps adorn all four turrets, while pillows make up the staircase, and there is stained glass in the windows. Everything is home made mmf (stained glass, night caps, mr. sandman, bag of dreams, tassles and all other details. Cotton was used to give a sky effect.

This is made with half mini ball pan and copied from the Carol
Deacon's Party Cakes book. This guy goes with the Dots cake I
made for my husband's 42nd bday. I added a belt and grayish hair
to match my DH's. Carols instructions were for a much larger cake
I just made him smaller. FUN to do!!!

Made this for a friend's anniversary. I really love Debbie Brown's cakes. My version isn't nearly as good as hers, but was fun. Still working on making my people better. I used royal for the hair worked alot better.

I made this for my son's sixteenth birthday. He is belted in two martial art disciplines. This cake represents him in his current pursuit - Tae Kwan Do., his kicking bag, equipment bag, and the boards he splits with a swift kick. I had recently corresponded with (Aine2) who is such a gracious lady! I decided to use her method for faces as she details on her website. I LOVE the results!

Sorry, not a very good picture. I was happy with the cake, but couldn't get a very good picture of it. I think I need photography lessons!
10" round. Iced in BC with fondant accents. I used Sugarshack's recipe and techniques. I was so happy with the smoothiness of the icing and almost hated to make the diamond pattern in it! I still need practice on getting the top of the cake smooth and even! White icing with sage and pink fondant accents. TFL

This is my first fondant cake. I am loving the class and this is so much fun. I made this cake for my husband for fathers day. He is always napping. The Honey do list next to him says...mow, caulk, paint, wash cars, bathe dogs. Let me know what you think, I am still learning and would appreciate any advice.

A big number one for Abigail......White cake, raspberry whip filling. I did a regular icing, but all the accents are fondant. The kids at the party had fun eating the bee's, buttons, flowers and butterfly...I'm sure that their mom's didn't appreciate the sugar

This is a 6" BC smash cake for my friend's daughter's first birthday. The Foofa figure is fondant as well as the daisy accents on the side. It was my first attempt at Melvira's method of smoothing BC for decorating.

I made this Boxer, named Sadie, for a man's birthday cake. He loves his dog so his wife wanted this for his cake. This was my first dog but it turned out great. To answer some of the questions.....this was just a fondant figure I made for the cake, I'm not sure what they did with it after they cut the cake though. Thanks for your comments!

Choc cake with BC frosting, paw prints, and grass. Fondant Boxer and dog bones. This was requested for a man's birthday cake who loves his boxer dog. I've never made a dog before but this turned out well I think. I know the top seems a little plain but that's how it was ordered.

I made this cake for a beauty turning 5. She asked for a gymnastics / Tinkerbell cake. I made it star shaped using Martha Stewart's new star pans. They are nice except they are angled on the side. She saw the cake and looked at the top and said "that's me!" I sculpted her out of fondant!
