This is the cake I made for myself this year for my birthday. It was kind of practice cake to get the icing smooth and work with the leaf tips. I used the Wilton's flower power pan and buttercream icing.

My friend said she wanted something simple for her supervisors birthday. Chocolate fudge cake with dark chocolate buttercream. Pink drop flowers on top (because they are the only ones I know how to make!!!!)

Copied this idea from thw Wilton website, You can't really tell that it's the petal shaped pan used because of how it's decorated. It was my second time using the pan so I'm still figuring out how to use it properly! Feel free to be honest in your feedback- I welcome any help you can give. Oh - and yes, my writing skills on cakes is severely lacking!! Iced in BC & all flowers are Royal Icing.

This was a birthday cake I made for a friend. She told me to do whatever I wanted to get some practice. I decided on a basketweave with rope borders. It is a banana cake with BC.

I made this cake for my elderly neighbor. She has 6 kids, and doesn't know the last time she heard from any of them on her birthday. I wanted to make her something bright and cheerful, yet not too vibrant, but sweet. It is chocolate cake with all almond buttercream. It was my first time doing brush embroidery, vines, and reverse shell border. I am taking Wilton Course 3 now, and just learned these techniques!

Made from a sunflower pan that I found on sale for $5. (I just had to use it) I added the stem and writing since it was a rather boring cake...sure getting good with that star tip!! The birthday girl thought it was cute so i got my moneys worth i guess.

This is one of three cakes I have due for tomorrow. This one was done for a very sweet lady at our church who used to play piano for us. She's not able to play anymore and misses it so much, and I just thought I bright little birthday cake would cheer her up. Now I have to get busy on the other two which I have to travel to Florida with Friday morning. OH BOY!

I made this cake for my niece's first birthday. Chocolate cake with buttercream icing. This was her smash cake but she wouldn't touch it because she didn't want to get her hands dirty. Oh well, the other kids at the party enjoyed it. Thanks for looking.

This cake is my first time using Satin Ice fondant...LOVE IT!!! Cake is chocolate for a 5 yr old birthday who specified only "flowers" for her cake. I have always wanted to do a pink/brown combo. When I delivered it to their public venue a woman stopped me and said it looked like a TV cake! Now, I can't hold a candle to Duff, but I was flattered. First time layering fondant so this cake was kind of an experiment. They are 5" and 8" single layer bc they didn't need a ton of cake.

My aunt requested flowers for this cake and left the rest up to me. I like it when people let me use creative freedom.

I had some leftover icing and a small cake so I used them to make my own birthday cake. LOL!! It's a design based on a cake by Junecakes that I've been wanting to make for a long time so I thought I'd give it a try. It's a little slanted and sloppy but I only spent 1/2 hour or so on it...so oh well!!

I made this cake for a friend of mine. I had SO MANY issues with this cake, but the roses were fun! The girl was 8 years old and designed the cake herself. The cake is white cake with mint chocolate chips, the filling is chocolate with crushed up mint candies and the buttercream frosting has a peppermint flavor. I wish I could eat this one. I just can't get a smooth buttercream to save my life! AGH!

This cake was made for a friends 40th birthday. The cake is chocolate mud cake with lemon coloured fondant. The beautiful fresh flowers on the top make it look like a box of flowers you might buy from the florist
