this bridge I made for someone who wanted to bake the cake themself, but needed help for the decorations.
It is made by flowerpaste (gumpaste).

A friend and I tried our hand at our first fondant figures, taken from a website of a clay angel and modified a little. Tons of fun to do..can't wait to do more!! Was done with Wilton Fondant. Sorry the pic is bad-dig camera is MIA. :) still need to add the fairy wings, waiting to dry.

This was a farewell cake to the Band director at my daughter's high school. Cake is covered in fondant, figure is fondant, back drop is chocolate, sheets of music are rice paper. Pls notice the printed "music" around the sides of the cake. All decorations are edible! No wood or plastic used here.

This was my first attempt at an ICC Figure. I was happy with how it turned out and so was the little boy it was made for. He is all buttercream with an ICC interior support.

I made this cake for my daughter's birthday pool party. The entire cake is edible; the people in the pool were figure piped, blue gel was added over the blue buttercream "water" to give a more realistic appearance. Beach balls are large gumballs. The woman in the blue bathing suit is floating in a buttercream "inner tube".

Yet another edible gumpaste figurine cake made for a friend in Dubai.
The kids relly love it, and the edible pearls make this simple blue theme very 'wet'.. simulating bubbles.. The icing is from eggwhite and sugar (boiled Italina meringue style).

My FIL is a deacon and this is retiring. I thought I'd make his birthday cake to reflect that. 3 layers of yellow cake with buttercream filling and covered in fondant.

This is the cake (as you can tell) that I did the fondant figures for. This is for a couple in our church. They left the design up to me and they just wanted it to be a "girly gir" cake. You can't really tell from this picture but there is a princess crown in the middle of the cake. The cake itself is White Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Filling and Buttercream Icing.

I made the girls while my daughter (pastrypuff) was in Switzerland for my brothers 40th BDay cake so they had time to harden & dry. Puff wouldn't let us leave them naked because she won't do that kind of I had to put bikini tops on them. They were fun to make (nipples kept sticking to my fingers instead of the babes) and they kept getting more wrinkled as they dried. My brother and his friends kept licking them all night and sticking them back in thier pockets.

Another Pooh cake. The woman who ordered it loved my other Pooh cake and wanted a replica. I was able to talk her into a few modifications to make it more birthday-like. Of course my figures didn't turn out as well as the first time and I had buttercream issues. Figures and mini-cake are marzipan, everything else is fondant with buttercream accents.

Agh! Playing with MMF again. This time sculpted a caricature of the birthday girl; based on photo grandmother gave me. Had fun but certainly can't make a profit sculpting fondant unless I get faster. LOL Oh's a learning experience!

Went to lunch with some friends today and this gorgeous cake was a present I received from my good buddy Min. I love oval cakes!!! It's a banana cake with cream cheese filling, covered in fondant, with hand made gumpaste tulips, and a fondant bow. It has a really cute button at the back too, forgot to take a picture of it. The lady with the tulip is me, it's so funny because it's such a good representation of me decorating, with hair tied up and bits of hair sticking up in every direction.

I made this the other day. I have been afraid to try making fondant figures, but once I got started, it was really easy. I think he's pretty cute!! I got the instructions from the book, The Sculpey Way.

This cake was made for my cousin this weekend. She wanted me to make figures of her and her friends to put on the cake. I thought a graduation hat style cake would be a good surface to put them on. All fondant on the cake and the figures had a base of styrofoam ball and cone. I used a cake board and covered it with fondant for the flat part of the hats.
