This was for my 2 yo and 3 yo shared b-day party. The thought of all of the 3 yo guests running around after eating a frosting piped pig or cow scared me, so I used Little People!

This was a cake that I made for my best friend's baby shower. We decided to copy her nursery bedding. The sheet cake is a spice cake with cream cheese frosting. The red barn is just yellow loaf cakes cut and stuck together. The cowboy baby is pound cake made from the 3D bear pan (the cowboy hat isn't edible). The pigs and animal heads are royal icing, adn the rest of the animals are marshmallows, the hay bales are rice krispie treats, and the sunflowers are Jr. mints! This was fun to make!

"Who let the pigs out!" Fair themed cake. Made with fondant: pigs, cow, farmer, fence, "slide". Sunflowers, corn, lawn chair is molded chocolate. Haystacks are coconut marshmallows. Hopefully the molded chocolate items will hold up through the fair!

The cake I entered into our local fair won 1st place for its division AND Best of Show for the fair theme "who let the pigs out!". It did suffer some meltdown...the farmer's arm got amputated and the fencing fell down...although it kind of just looks like the pigs ran the fencing over! This was my first time entering anything into the fair!

This was my first time using marzipan. The barn was a Wilton stand up pan. The silo was a stack of fudge stripe cookies with icing as glue and a dowel in the middle.

Made for my daughter's 9th birthday. A lot of fun making the little chickens and horse but ended up looking through the toy box for small animals to complete the scenario (up waaay too late!)

11 X 15 chocolate cake iced with buttercream and fondant. The barn disintegrated when I started to ice it so I had to go to plan 'B' and make one out of cardboard and cover that with fondant. It actually turned out better than the cake version would have!

I made this cake for my son's 2nd birthday last month. Everything on the cake is edible except for the horse. I made all the remaining animals out of royal icing...for the life of me I couldn't get the cow's head right that was supposed to be in place of the horse so I decapitated one of my son's plastic horses...lol This was very time consuming, but alot of fun!!!

This is the cake that I had asked for so many suggestions on. Thanks for all of your ideas, The lady ended up bringing me the pieces used on the cake and a blue ribbon that she wanted duplicated to go on it somehow. Since it was the girls 18th b-day then I put the 18 in place of the 1. Hope it doesn't make it look like she came in 18th place. I decided to use the plastic fence that she brought, the pitchfork, and the feeding pail, oh, can't forget the poop pile.Haybales are shredded wheat, horses are cookies

This is the 3rd cake that I had due this weekend and I put a few of the horses that I made from cookies for the cookie order on the cake to decorate with, the customer brought a few pieces of stuff from home that I could use if I wanted to, so I decided to use it, and this is what I came up with. First time doing anything like this. This is a lot of fun.

This cake turned out really cute (even if my mother-in-law thought it was a space ship!) It was easy to make and decorate and it matches the Barnyard Celebration Party decorations PERFECTLY!!

This is a John Deere tractor cake for a two year old little boy. It was inspired by one of Boween's cakes. (Thanks for the idea!) The little boy loves rats so the trailer has rats in the hay. I really enjoyed making it.

I really enjoyed making this cake, all the animal are hand sculpted using fondant, the barn is made out of gum paste and painted with gel colors and vodka. The golden cake was filled and crum coated with dulce de leche (is kind of like caramel) and covered with mmf. Thaks for looking!

I had this cake all done and I put in the fridge until the party. When I came back to get it my four year old had "walked" the animals all around the farm leaving little imprints in the icing.Oh well, I guess it is realistic.
