This was a cake that I made for my best friend's baby shower. We decided to copy her nursery bedding. The sheet cake is a spice cake with cream cheese frosting. The red barn is just yellow loaf cakes cut and stuck together. The cowboy baby is pound cake made from the 3D bear pan (the cowboy hat isn't edible). The pigs and animal heads are royal icing, adn the rest of the animals are marshmallows, the hay bales are rice krispie treats, and the sunflowers are Jr. mints! This was fun to make!

This cake turned out really cute (even if my mother-in-law thought it was a space ship!) It was easy to make and decorate and it matches the Barnyard Celebration Party decorations PERFECTLY!!

I had this cake all done and I put in the fridge until the party. When I came back to get it my four year old had "walked" the animals all around the farm leaving little imprints in the icing.Oh well, I guess it is realistic.

Quick cake for a child's birthday. There was a miscommunication on the pick-up time and I didn't have time to do anymore detail. I would've like to have added more animals and details to the barn. At least the customer was happy!

This was for a little girl's 1st birthday. She loves Old McDonald. Along with all my 1st birthday cakes I include a complimentary small cake for baby to tear up. In this case it was a little haystack made from a half ball pan.

this was my fist two tier cake made for my daughter's second birthday. a total disaster, nothing went right with this one, this was my first time making mmf fondant also, i took the recipe from this web site and followed it to the T and it was too soft and too sticky, i did something wrong with it. my cake was leaning to the side also it alsmost looked topsy turvy!! and after all frustration my daughter gave me a huge kiss and called it "super"!!
any sugestions how to make it better? thanks for looking!

This was my very first 3-D cake for my friends son's birthday. The barn is a 1/2 sheet cake cut into 4 sections, stacked and then sculpted to look like a barn and the "farm field" is a 9 x 13 cake with Little people farm animals on top. The haystacks were made from cupcakes turned upside down then iced with the grass tip. The barn doors & windows are graham crakers.
The red silo is a stack of sandwich cookies iced together and topped with a muffin cup upside down.

This is a farm animals themed cake that I made to match invitations that I was giving. This was my first sheet cake too! It was a lot of fun. I made matching cupcakes as well which I will post a picture of.

This cake was made for a baby shower with a farm theme. It's made of buttercream and fondant. This was my first time using MMF and free forming anything. I amazed myself at how well all the animals came out. The barn is also covered in fondant, rolled out, cut and imprinted with detail. Everyone could not believe the anilmals were edible. Everything was edible except the little yellow sign, "Welcome Baby". I used pretzel sticks for the fence backdrop.
