Made this Fairy Princess Cake for my neice's b-day. The Princess and little fairies are Chocolate Fudge Cake. The tiers are White Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Fudge Pudding with nuts between layers. The Lettering is White Chocolate with Pearl Dust, area's on cake are also accented with Pearl Dust. The Frosting is Butter-cream. The cake was a wonderful success.

Here's a closeup of the face. Okay so I know she needs a nose job and I probably should have used a "tool" besides a toothpick, but it was just a practice cake.

This is a closeup of the fairy on my other cake made from fondant. I used the tutorial on here, but I didn't have all the right tools so she wasn't what I expected. However, I had so much fun making her and was a little sad when my daughter and her cousins gobbled her right up!

This fairy will be on an Easter cake. She is made from Fondant mixed with Tylose. I used the face mold in Frances McNaughton's book & my fairy is loosley based on her flower fairies. The book is really good for a guideline. Her dress is made using the Lace Flower Cutters & her hat consists of the little leaves that are from the lace cutouts. She is holding a small white dove in her hands. Apart from the head mold, everything is hand modeled. She was fun to make.

This is the fairy that will go on the birthday cake for this weekend. Her wings are drying and I have to dust her clothing but I think she turned out well and I had fun with my new sugar gun..makes doing hair so much easier! Thanks to Aine2, Katharry and Liis for their help and tutorials. Thanks for looking!

Here is a close up of the flower fairy I made for the Enchanted Forest Cake. The idea came from JaneK. She is made of fondant and was meant to look like the birthday girl. Her dress is 3 shades of pink flowers layered on top of each other, with green leaves at the neck and the top of her skirt. Also at the top of her skirt are tiny light pink flowers in between the leaves. She is the 2nd fondant person I have even made and really enjoyed it. She was supposed to have gelatin wings thanks to ShirleyW but I ran out of time and had to scrap the wings, that is probably the only thing I don’t like about this figure but all in all I think she is pretty cute. I will also post a close up of her unicorn friend.
Thanks so much for looking

Foxglove fairy made entirely from mexican past (except for a wire spine). Made as part of a cake topper to go with another set of fondant Victorian furniture similar to that I made about a week ago.
