Made this Fairy Princess Cake for my neice's b-day. The Princess and little fairies are Chocolate Fudge Cake. The tiers are White Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Fudge Pudding with nuts between layers. The Lettering is White Chocolate with Pearl Dust, area's on cake are also accented with Pearl Dust. The Frosting is Butter-cream. The cake was a wonderful success.

This little fairy is going to top a cake yet to be made for a 4th birthday, she represents 'Harmony' from the Aussie show, The Fairies - I will add the cake pic when it is finished, hopefully it will be cute :-)

Here's a closeup of the face. Okay so I know she needs a nose job and I probably should have used a "tool" besides a toothpick, but it was just a practice cake.

This fairy will be on an Easter cake. She is made from Fondant mixed with Tylose. I used the face mold in Frances McNaughton's book & my fairy is loosley based on her flower fairies. The book is really good for a guideline. Her dress is made using the Lace Flower Cutters & her hat consists of the little leaves that are from the lace cutouts. She is holding a small white dove in her hands. Apart from the head mold, everything is hand modeled. She was fun to make.

Thanks to Aine2, Katharry and Liis for their help and tutorials. Thanks for looking!

These are gumpaste fairies , the customer specified hair color and type. The girls were supposed to be ages 6,4,and 18 months which is why the one is so much smaller. Made from gumpaste with rice paper butterfly wings. TFL

Easter Basket Cake. I used Royal Icing for the weaving then topped it with Persian Fairy Floss and little chocolate eggs. The inside of the cake had twelve layers, mostly mocha, chocolate and espresso flavours.

This is a closeup of the fairy on my other cake made from fondant. I used the tutorial on here, but I didn't have all the right tools so she wasn't what I expected. However, I had so much fun making her and was a little sad when my daughter and her cousins gobbled her right up!
