MMF covered with buttercream characters. Caterpillar on top of cake is gumpaste and small smash cake with buttercream. I loved the colors with this cake - the characters really stood out!

I used Debbie Brown's design of Noah's Ark as inspiration and added the Baby Einstein characters. This is my third cake ever. Lots of work but worth it (took 7 hours).

This cake did not turn out like I had wanted it too. It's for my baby who just turned "1"! It looks like a cake that I would have done when I was just starting out! I do like how the frog turned out however!!!

I took a level 1 cake decorating class so I could do my son's first birthday cake. In the end I used this tub toy as a cake topper. It made it simpler for me, and then I had the time to do the catterpillar faces on the cupcakes.

This is my first FBCT. I had a horrible time icing the cake. I have made this recipe a million times, but this time I had a ton of crumbs. I love the FBCT. I have a lot to practice, but I will definitely do them again!

I did this to go along with the FBCT sheet cake. See sheet cake for ranting about the cake problems, but this was a mini cake for the birthday boy. I thought it was cute.

I looked everywhere for ideas for a birthday cake for a customer who wanted to do Little Einsteins. Since they are so new (and not licensed yet), I had a tough time! I whipped this idea together and wanted to share it in case anyone else gets a request and wanted an idea. I love and visit this site all the time because there are so many creative people (who I can't hold a candle to)...Thanks for looking and sharing all of your great photos!

I used half of the 3D egg pan on top of the Up and Away Balloon pan with twinkies in back. The balloon pan just needed a little bit of carving to round the edges.

This is the first birthday cake for a friend's twin boys. It is a 1/2 sheet cake and took a lot more icing than I originally anticipated. I think I used a total of 7 batches of buttercream icing (I lost count around 5).

I'm proud of this cake because it was the first time that the mom said she thinks she was going to cry when she first saw it! That just makes all of the hours we spend decorating cakes worthwhile!

This is an 11 x 15 sheet. White cake. B/C icing. The customer wanted anything with the Little Einstein theme. I thought this was the cutest. The smash cake has a frog on it.

I made this practice cake for my nephew's 1st b-day. The real one is getting done later this week. I am glad I did a practice run of it, it was tricky for me to keep it from looking sloppy. I am hoping the final one comes out neater now that I have done it once! It is all buttercream....

This is my niece's 1st b-day cake. She LOVES Little Einsteins--not the baby one. I had fun with this one! BC iced, fondant tree and clouds, and edible image plaques.

This is a 12x18 cake, 1/2 dark chocolate fudge, 1/2 french vanilla with buttercream icing. I was given a napkin to replicate. Everything was pretty much freehanded. I thought it was going to be an easy job, but it took forever because of having to mix up so many different colors! I'm pleased with the outcome, though, and the customer was thrilled.

Thanks to Zaleski2 for inspiring the ball/round/twinkie structure of this! I threw this together real quick for my son's birthday. The cake isn't as neat as I usually want it done and my edible image tore but I think he'll love it just the same! I want to perfect this though, I love Little Einsteins!

I made this for one of my friends who had a little girl turning 1. Party theme was baby einstein....obviously. This is all white cake with lemon flavored buttercream dream for the filling and crusting buttercream ll for the icing and grass. I must say that those recipes from this site turned out awesome. I had 2 pieces of cake myself. Catepillar was made withe the Wilton sports ball pan and I cut out fondant for the face pieces, little legs, and the sign.

1/4 sheet w/BC. Image is BCT. First time to make a little smash cake-used a 4" springform pan and it worked great. Hope they like it. This is my 2nd cake made to sell.
