I copied this from a book, that originally carved a cake, then covered it with fondant to resemble a hill. Since no one at my office really likes the taste of fondant, I just did an easy buttercream icing. The little bunnies and carrots are made out of fondant.

This was from pg 66 of the Wilton 05 year book. I saw it & I loved it. I didn't have the petal pan so I used a round 14" pan & cut it into a flower. The basket handles are make of fondant, the icing is Cali4dawn's recipe. I just used a chocolate bunny instead of molding it myself (Didn't have time). I added coconut & peep bunnies to the bottom. Let me know what ya'll think!

Mar 12, 2006 getting there. The outlines of the bunny turned out sloppy because the icing was too thick/dry, but figured it out by the time I got to the chicks. I see that I need to put more icing inside the outlines so it pillows up a bit. Also need to improve my eyeball drawing - yikes!

Here's my version! I made a rope handle out of fondant for the handle but it didn't dry in time. Cake is 10" 2 layer vanilla with BC. I used the mini bear for the bunny, fondant ears, paw pads, and facial details. Chocolate eggs, fondant basket with jellybeans.

This is my first batch of cupcakes. The bunnies are made of MMF and the grass is buttercream icing. I learned that I would have better control in drawing the faces using a food marker rather than piping gel.

This Easter cake was made with buttercream icing for the icing and the grass. The bunnies and chicks were made with fondant and food coloring for the facial features and the water was made with piping gel tinted blue. The eggs are actually jelly beans.

I did this cake for an Easter brunch. It is carrot cake with Crusting cream cheese icing. The icing came out kinda soupy and wouldn't crust or smooth, so I covered the cake in Fondant. Bunny and eggs are also fondant. Thanks for looking!
