it is BC with airbrush red and blue and the eagle is MMF but the MMF is transparent I find so I made another out of fondant but it was too white so I went back to this one since I needed it to be more gray anyway

This was a 12"x18" half white half chocolate sheetcake for an Eagle Scout celebration. It is iced in 1/2 Crisco 1/2 butter buttercream. The Eagle Medal is paper wrapped in a piece of Ziploce. Couldn't get it turned into an edible image in time.

1/2 Sheet cake with all buttercream icing. I was very happy with the way it turned out and the soldier and his family were impressed with the eagle.

This is a full-sheet, 1/2 banana 1/2 chocolate-fudge-fill cake, with whip cream frosting. I drew the picture on a frosting sheet, then painted on with gels. (Took forever!)
This was for a great boss that was moving on to "other pastures".

I made this cake for the local high school's "Meet the Eagles Basketball" party. This is where they introduce all of the basketball players for the year. I used the sports ball pan for the basketball and drew the mascot on the cake.

I made this for an Eagle Scout Ceremony. The medal is made using royal icing. I thinned the royal icing with water. Then I used a small paint brush to smooth out the icing. The detail on the eagle was done free handed.

fondant covered "books" with a fondant covered cap and eagle. I didn't get the books as perfect as I wanted them and wish I had an airbrush to paint on the writing. I barely got the top of the grad cap dry in time...had to put it in the food dehydrator over night. Nothing like waiting till the last minute to make fondant decorations that need to dry:)

Some young men had the honor of reaching their Eagle Scout level in Boy Scouting, and I had the good fortune of being asked to do their cake. It is an 11x15" cake with a FBCT of the design.

This is the most dumbest cake I have ever done. I like the overall image that I had in my mind. But somehow none of the frosting would not cooperate. I did the cake and every time I turned around the frosting kept sliding off. I even had the a/c in my house full blast.....good thing it was just a practice cake.

Made for my aunt who was returning from Iraq. This was a rush job, so I did not have time to sketch out the Eagle beforehand. Just tried to freehand the best I could.

I made this for the faculty luncheon. The principal said she just wanted it to say "welcome back." I figured since we are the eagles, I would try a FBCT of an eagle. I got the idea from another cake here on CC.

This is my first attempt at topsy turvy, my first time to try to paint fondant, and first icing sculpture with the eagle head. Thank you all who went through the posts to find http://www.cakecentral.com/article1-Instructions-For-Building-A-Whimsical-Tilted-Cake.html and thank you BKeith for putting that instructional together!! I hope my friend likes the cake & feels it's an aproperate welcome home from Iraq cake.

This was done for a girl's 14th bday. She loves American Eagle Outfitters so that was the theme of the party. From top to bottom the flavors were strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. They also asked if I could fit a zebra print in so that's how it made it's way in there.

I made this cake for my boyfriend for his birthday - he loves the Eagles and the Yankees! It was about 100 degrees outside and my son was not cooperating with me that day - the colors were running! I didn't get a chance to take a pic before we sang to him - only after my neice took a piece off of the cake to smear on his face (bottom right hand corner).

This is my "recreated" Eagle scout cake that I had to repair on site because my layers shifted in transit due to bumpy roads and cheap straw doweling. (See Disaster cakes - Cheap straws & LA roads for gory details) Eagle topper was MMF though i would not recommend MMF for this since it took forever to harden. Live and learn! Ribbons were also MMF, patches were printed on photopaper, not edible.
