100% of the decorations are edible! The armor is painted with edible silver, the dragon's coins painted with edible gold. Details include the blue birds in the tree top, bumble bees on the bark, squirrels among the rocks, tiny white mice on the ground, & flowers painted on the tea service. All hand molded and hand painted (no airbrushing). Made with fondant, pastillage, & royal icing.

Decided to post this here, also, because it was made specifically for a Chinese theme party. Dragon is buttercream frosting with white chocolate lavendar colored spikes. He's made from an 8" round, a 9" long oval, and 2 cupcakes.

Using a ring cake pan, sliced 1/3 out and positioned in "s" shape. Marshmallows with toothpicks then built legs, face, tail, and humps. Frosting did the rest.

This was my first cake ever. I found it in a Debby Brown book and couldn't resist. As you can see I didn't know about modeling paste so the egg's came out a little droppy. Now I know for next time!

Got the idea from the Wilton 2006 Yrbook, but used a larger pan, & changed the color from green to orange to make it a little more festive. My son and I had a great time making the cookies that were the arms, tail, feet & eyes.

The dragon was made by drawing the picture first, then tracing it onto a frosting sheet. I then colored it in with gels. This was also my first attempt at a reverse shell border. I thought I was using a luster dust for the chocolate number 9, but later relized it was shimmer dust. Live and Learn!

Customer wanted a baby shower cake to match the nursery, frogs, dragon flies, and ducks! This is what I came up with. Chocolate cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream icing. Fondant accents painted with luster dusts.

This was my son's 6th birthday cake. I have not sculpted much in the was of MMF so I was not real happy with how the dragon turned out but he really liked it. - Funny story son wanted flames out fo the dragon's mouth so my husband put a candle in his mouth which burned really fast and ended up catching the dragon's nose on fire! My son thought it was really cool though!! Yes MMF is flammable!!!

This is my first attempt at a frozen buttercream transfer. It came out pretty well and I do like the technique. I'll definitely try it again! Plus, I think the dragon is soooo cute!

I can't believe how well the sketch AND the stencil turned out. I was pretty happy with the way it all turned out. Mainly the dragon, the rest is kinda same ol' same ol'.

This is hand sculpted from a double layer 12" cake...fondant covered, each scale cut by hand, and then the cake hand painted as I don't quite yet have my airbrush. :-)

I was asked to make a cake with a dragon theme. I sat at my desk for 8 hours and I molded this dragon out of fondant, The fondant is attatched to a metal wire skeleton. The dragon's wings are made from fruit roll-us to give them a thin fleshy look. The fire is a plastic drinking straw that was decorated to look like a fire stream. WhenI finshed the cake, (gold with a chocolate mousse filling) I pushed the drong close to the fire stream to give it the illusion that the dragon was shooting fire.

This was my first attempt at a BCT. I didn't cover the back in icing after finishing, and I saw why that was important later. I was happy that it worked at all, but I see lots of room for improvement.

I made this cake for my fathers birthday. I was inspired by Debbie Browns "Enchanted Cakes for Children". It wasn´t very hard to do but it took a very long time. The cave is the cake the rest is MMF.

My SIL made this for her son for his bday. We had a joint party and it is the cake to the tail in the bug catcher cake pic. She uses 3 rounds and song small hearts to piece this together, all carrot cake. The "scales" are the points of the top of a pinapple, the nose is a mellow pumpkin, the ears are gum, and the color of the eyes are m&ms. I think the rest is all frosting, from a can.

My brother loves asian watercolors, so I printed this out on an icing sheet, and it was that easy. One of my friend's aunts paints, so she was nice enough to give me permission to use her image on my cake. I like this cake because I always have trouble making birthday cakes masculine.

I'm sure lots of you know by now that I'm starting this business with an Events organizer who does Fairies, Wizards and Round-the-world parties. This is my "big" cake for the wizards ... next we're going round the world. Don't quite know what to do yet ...

My friend had a "Knights and Princess" theme birthday party for her 2 oldest children (ages 7 and 5). The dragon cake and castle cake was my gift to each child. Dragon is covered in fondant, and tail and arms/legs are all fondant. Thanks to everyone at CakeCentral for the inspiration for these 2 cakes!
