This cake was done for a Christmas party. It's iced in buttercream, silver dragees placed on the side, with 50/50 fondant/gumpaste dress bows and bow tails.

This is a gift for a friend at work, whose anniversary is this weekend. It's a white triple layer cake with whipped raspberry filling. Buttercream frosting with an edible image of their wedding day.

This is an almond pound cake torted into 4 layers and filled with cherry pastry filling, frosted with a thin layer classic buttercream w/ amaretto in it, and covered in satinice fondant. Didn't exactly look like the picture in my head, but I'm satisifed with it. Used and impression mat for the sides, my first time using one.

All BC except for the gold dragees that outline the border and the centers of some of the flowers. This gave it just a little sparkle and shine!

This cake is my first experience doing a wedding cake. I can't claim it as completely mine because my aunt was there giving me step by step instruction. She also helped with most of the icing and smoothing because I'm still perfecting my technique. This cake was alot of work but a great learning experience. I look forward to making my first wedding cake!

This is my first wedding cake. Thankfully the design she wanted was very simple. All went pretty smoothly, except that when I went to set the cake up the cake table was a flimsy card table set up in the grass, and it was 104 degrees and an outdoors reception. Hope the cake made it okay. This was a white cake with strawberry filing iced in BC . . . it should have held up fairly well in the heat. The cake topper is a color flow "V" brushed with lustre dust. I was pretty pleased with the result.

Not sure what album to put this under so it's in weddings for now. It's a dummy from my cake booth, it was also made to show a bride a few different options for her cake.

Here is a picture of the cake that about had me committed to the loony bin. The bottom two tiers are styrofoam and the top tier is lemon. It is decorated with silver dragees that are attached to BC dots.

Here is the main bridal cake for one of my large weddings. It was this cake... the hunting groom's cake, and EIGHT sheet cakes!! YIPES!! I noticed when I downloaded the pix to my computer that the lights were shining off the serving pieces and making white marks on the cake. That's what those white spots are if you notice them. It's in all the pix. Bummer!

This isn't my best (read post "Cake ashes" in the cake disaster forum). This was my first ever doll cake. I frosted it w/ the crusting BC recipe found on this site. I attempted to do some fancy "S's" but the frosting was too stiff. So then I tried making the "S's" into cornelli lace...fat then I tried to salvage it and try doing sotas on top...haha -this cake laughed at me all the way. I did like the hair though! I used dragees for the earrings and necklace and used edible glitter on doll

Well here it is! My FIRST paid wedding cake. Based off a photo from A Piece of Cake in Fort Lauderdale, FL, provided by bride. I'm very pleased with the outcome and thanks to all here at CC who enlightened me to rolling out fondant with the help of Crisco. I was really sweating that bottom petal tier. Sizes are 15, 12, 8, and 6". It took close to 2 and a half hours to hand glue all those dragees but the overall cake turned out really nice. Haven't heard from the bride yet...hope she was thrilled.

I made this for my magazine ad. Fondant covered dummies, fondant impression flower molds, dragees, and lots of gold luster dust. Took me forever, this would have to be an expensive cake! I have a better quality photo being taken of it this evening, but wanted to share one now.

I made this cake yesterday for our church's Christmas party. It was white cake with raspberry mousse filling and white chocolate BC. Really yummy! The white choc. BC is definitely a new fave! For the snowflakes, I just freehanded the pattern on the wrapping paper that the cake board is covered in and then sprinkled the whole cake with shimmer dust. Simple but pretty.

French Vanilla cakes with french vanilla mousse iced in vanilla BC w/diamond impression w/silver dragees. Fondant snowflakes with RI piping and silver dragees. What you can't see are the minature snowflakes with similar piping and dragees behind the big ones. A request from my cousin for a silver & white themed cake. TFL!

This is the first wedding cake that I've made. It is a 10" and 8", both tiers are french vanilla with strawberry cream cheese filling. The icing is all BC. The bride wanted a 'princess' theme, so her topper is Cinderella's carriage. The inspiration for this cake was a cake done by fellow CCer apwrep.

Just an up-close picture of the cake topper I made for my moms cake. Royal icing with silver dragees. I was really happy with how they turned out, they were my second try because my 3y.o. ate my first ones, and at the birthday party my brother was messing around and broke one of them off.

This is my cake for the Mid-Atlantic Wedding Cake Competiton. The theme was "Something Old, Something New, etc". I chose to do jewelry that the bride would wear. The diamonds are homemade candies from a mold a made. I used pears drageees.I used a soap mold for the bottom layer to resemble pearls. I used lots of luster dusts with my airbrush. I loved doing that!! The tiara is royal with candy diamonds and pearl dragees.

I made this cake for my brothers wedding. I used the impression mat with the dragees. I was really nervous til my sister who owns a flowershop added the flowers to it and it all came together. I got many compliments on it and there was not 1 slice left over.
