The hat is RKT and covered in Wilton fondant. The cake and decorations are iced in BC. Red fish/blue fish cookies were wrapped in cellophane bags with red ribbon for party favors.

10/8/6 in., carved. Yellow cake- BC w/fondant decor. Thanks to venefica for inspiration on the cake- mom found your pic and wanted it! Also thanks to amytracy1981 for Horton- mom found your figure, and had to have it! My 1st topsy-turvy- went better than I expected. Most of my trouble was from the clovers- they were top-heavy and I kept worrying that they were going to fall over during delivery.

This was for my friend's son's class. They were having a book parade and his class read Horton Hears a Who. I went with the look and colors from the book rather than the movie.

This is an all chocolate cake filled with vanilla b/c, covered with fondant. It didn't quite make it to the OSSAS, but thought I'd share it with you any way. I messed up two of the three cakes and didn't feel it was worth taking to be judged. To many problems after stacking. The show was great though. Please leave a comment and thank you for looking!

Here's my take on a Dr. Seuss cake with Horton and Green Eggs & Ham. Thanks a bunch to Mooj for all her help and my fellow CCrs for their inspiration. 10" vanilla cake with raspberry BC filling iced in vanilla BC w/ fondant accents. The Dr. Seuss hat was (2) 4" rounds (vanilla) covered in fondant on (3) 6" cake circles covered in fondant. Used food safe marker for all the markings. The client loved it! TFL!!

Dr. Seuss & Thing1 & Thing2 cupcakes to go with the Dr. Seuss/Horton cake for a 1st Birthday Party. I had to go out and get one of the cheap paper stands and make due with trying to make it nice with limited materials at the last minute because I had forgotten my cupcake stand! The cuppies were vanilla and banana flavored. I used cotton candy to represent the hair of Thing1 and Thing2. The hats were edible images. TFL!

I made this for my sister's Seuss-themed baby shower. Hat was WASC w/ Fondant and bottom was WASC w/ buttercream. Figurines are made of gumpaste with a floral wire fork. Had some issues with my Lorax. Hat inspired by brea1026. I was extremely nervous doing a cake where people outside of my immediate family would see it (other than all of you). (My DH convinced me to post the picture of Horton, but I wished I had done him better!)

I made this cake for a baby shower based on the Horton (I think) quote, "a person's a person no matter how small". I wanted the Cat in the Hat to be standing on top, but two versions with broken limbs later.... Someday I'll figure that out. Hope you enjoy!

Cast Party Cake for high school cast of "Seussical". Cake measured 3 1/2 feet tall and was cut and torted to look like it was leaning back and forth. Horton Cake topper is RKT covered in candy clay. Wickersham Brothers climbing up the cake are fondant. Hand is RKT. PVC support structure is covered in silver where exposed to make it look like a machine. Pictures around bottom tier are painted on rice paper. Biggest cake I've ever done. The kids reactions made it all worth while

This was a blast to make. The cake itself is a white almond cake with vanilla buttercream filling. The cuppies are snickerdoodle with vanilla buttercream on top. The green ham is rolled fondant with the lines painted on with food coloring gel. The eggs on the cuppies are made entirely on fondant and hand painted as well.

Made for a family who had a rough last year, and was having a good year this year, so they wanted to 'celebrate life'. The mom wanted it to resemble Dr. Seuss' book, "Oh The Places You'll Go," as she was giving the book to her husband as a gift. The tower is made of RKT covered in fondant, and I painted the cake with gel paste and vodka mix.

This 2-tier topsy turvy cake was made with 6- and 8-inch cakes covered with red fondant. The gifts and side decorations were also made from fondant. The little elf girls were made from gum paste and their faces were hand-painted.

Dr. Seuss cake decorated with buttercream and MM fondant. I painted the fish on the fondant with gel food coloring and cut them out with a knife. I used watered down fondant to "glue" them on.
