White chocolate face and nail accessories. Fondant head wrap, cucumbers, lips and flowers on a buttercream frosted 1/4 sheet cake. Face was molded on plastic mask I bought at a craft store. Inspired by Florimbio and tastycakes' versions.

This website has been such a help to me. This was my 1st attempt at a tiered cake. I combined two cakes that I had seen. We wanted to stick with the Over the Hill theme (colors), but I didn't want to do anything dealing with tombstones or the like. She loved it.

Decorated to match party supplies. The mom saw my other leopard cake and asked me if I could use purple icing instead of white. Buttercream icing and edible pearls.

My first fondant cake for my babygirl's 9th birthday with a "diva-licious" theme. White caked covered in BC and rolled fondant. Spots hand painted brown paste thinned with lemon juice, vodka was not available without a road trip (i hate living in a dry county!) all elements were fondant except I cheated with a pair of mardi gras beads for the pearls due to inavailability of pearl dust on short notice...

Buttercream icing - hand designed. I had a blast with this cake. I wanted to put a pink and black border but the birthday girl said no. I used the grass tip for the pom poms.

This was done for a baby shower decorated in pink & black. The cakes are 10" vanilla iced in BC. I wasn't sure how to execute this design since the mom to be didn't want fondant...the neck line was extremely difficult.

The customer is having an "Adorable Idol" birthday party for her daughter. She sent me a photo of the child dressed in her "Diva" outfit for the party. I designed the cake around the photo. Cake is decorated in buttercream with gumpaste stars attached to wire (my first time having something "stick out" of the cake). Thanks to cambo for the cake plaque inspiration!!

This bear is made from 4 9" rounds for the body and 3 6" rounds for the head. All covered in mmf Writing is royal with silver highlighter. I carved it freehand and too late realized i made the top slope too much. I had to prop the head up high withdowels. I thought about it oo late or i would have covered my mistake with a fondant neck or something. I guess I wasn't too worried because of the boa. Later i thought how ugly it would look when taken apart...but aren't they always anyway?

2 layer-8 inch cakes. The women in her office call her a Diva, so this is what I came up with. It was the first time for making a high heel shoe...not to sure about it. I felt like it could have broken at any moment. But trial and error, that is the only way I will learn. Thanks for looking.

I made this cake for a 6year old girl who had a "Diva Ball" birthday party. Everything was edible. I actually got the entire concept from another CCer. then added an additional mini-purse. The mom loved it. I didn't stick around to see the 6year old's expression. I hope she enjoyed it.

Wanted a cake that made a fashion statement. This is a three tier cake. Top is a solo cake. Tier two is the dress bottom. Both of these tiers are chocolate cake covered in fondant. Bottom tier is a coconut carrot cake covered with rolled buttercream fondant.

I made this cake (yellow cake) with strawberry icing for my sorority sister's birthday. I had a cyummy and creamy cheesecake flavored filling. This is my second attempt at the frozen buttercream transfer technique. Love the FBCT and I was able to touch it up so easily where needed.

Truly inspired by the talents on this website ~ thanks to you all! I used a 9" oval and half an egg shaped pan. Dark chocolate fudge cake with buttercream icing. Covered and accented with mmf. Very fun and surprisingly easy (even the hand molding).

Did this for a 10 year old who wanted "Diva, Fun & Funky" - very basic vanilla with BC decorations - everything edible but banners and feathers (which are barrettes that she can wear later!) She loved it!

This was for a friend's daughter's 25th birthday and she wanted it to be a "Diva" themed cake. I did not have a pan for the numbers. I printed them on the computer and then cut the cake from the template. Rolled Fondant icing and cut outs.

I wanted to make a birthday cake for my friends daughter who is in her 20's. amd I asked what kind of stuff she liked, she said music, and i didnt want to do just music notes and I know she goes clubbing (ha didnt we all in our 20's aaaah to be young again!) So I came up with this. My camera made this cake look really bad. But in person its acutally kinda cute, it looks all retro/disco....
