The design was 100% from the bride and groom....there are 3 other trees and two more owls that complete the bottom tier design...the monogram is the bride and grooms initial made to resemble the wax seal they used on their invitations....about 90% of the detail was done in royal icing....I was pretty pleased with how close I was able to replicate their sketch...they were thrilled with the outcome...

This cake was created with the Wilton pan, red velvet, and covered in fondant. Once coated I hand painted the cake with gel paste food coloring and clear colored rum.

Carrot cake with all butter cream! My friend loves Day of the Dead, so I thought this would be a fun cake for him! It was fun to make and yummy to eat. I was very happy with the turn out, my first time doing something like this :)

Bride did not want anything traditional. Designed a cake around her day of the dead topper. The topper was too big in my opinion but she insisted on it.

Jeff Dunham's puppet Achmed the Dead Terrorist FBCT on an 8" square. Made the two candy melt plaques to try to hide the bulge the cherry filling made - I can never seem to get away from fruit fillings and oozing... TFL

I made this for a friend of mine who is a huge fan of the comic books and the TV show. The zombies are replicas of the original artwork from the book. The box was made to look like the hospital doors from the first episode. The box opened like double doors and had handles on it with a "chain" around the handles.

This is a mocha cake and almond buttercream with a Greatful Dead Bear edible image. This is my 2nd buttercream cake and I charged $40 for it. Im great with fondant but I am getting better with my buttercream cakes. BIRTHDAY WAS PURPOSELY MIS-SPELLED PER CUSTOMER REQUEST. It was some kind of inside joke between him and his girlfriend.

My friends' daughter requested Day of the Dead and mushrooms for her birthday cake! I finally figured out a way to incorporate the two without it looking bizarre. :) This is a dark chocolate cake with buttercream filling, buttercream flavored MMF, and buttercream piping. I handpainted the fondant accents using powdered food color and vodka.

I wanted to practice drawing and painting on fondant and practice hand molding roses, I have had this folk art figurine for a long time and finally decided to see what I could use it for, I think it makes an interesting cake stand. The cake itself is a cake dummy covered in fondant. Thanks for looking

El Dia de los Muertos (aka The Day of the Dead). It is a spanish Holiday similar to Halloween. These cupcakes were for the Spanish Club at my school! Everyone loved them and they represent the color and themes of the holiday!

Abbie's Autopsy Cake: So, my darling daughter is having a zombie themed, 30th bday party this Sunday and has been asking for an autopsy cake for the past 4 years and wanted the cake to look like her. Sigh...I think it turned out pretty well. The cake is red colored WASC with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. The organs are all cake and covered with fondant. TYFL
