These are upside down cupcakes with a buttercream filling covered with the chocolate and cream recipe. My first time using it, I was happy although I think if I had time I would either have let it cool more before coating or do a second coat. White chocolate crowns on top.

All made from fondant and hand molded and painted. THe topper was ceramic.
Each tier is 6" tall. I worked 11 hours assembling the cake, not including the time for making the dragonflies, frogs, crowns, flowers, snails which were all made in advance.
cost $2500.

This cake is for my niece who turns 7 today. She is totally a girly-girl so I thought this cake would be just perfect! It's only my second full fondant cake so please forgive the imperfections. The crown is white chocolate and the cake was dusted with Wilton shimmer (doesn't show real well in the pic, though.) Fun to make! Thanks for looking!

This cake was for my daughter's 3rd birthday. It didn't turn out like I had wanted it to. I was in a hurry so I used frosting that was leftover from another order, after all was said and done, they didn't look good together!

I made this crown cake from the Wilton pan. I made a basic yellow cake w/snow white buttercream (Wilton's recipe). The colors are pink, purple and I just used regular food coloring to make them.

I think the pillow cakes are so much fun to make! I love the quilted square impression mat for these - it makes it so easy! I enhanced a plastic crown with little fondant 'jewels' brushed with luster dust and then sprinkled the whole cake with pink glitter... so pretty when finished! I need some serious practice on my tassels!

Crown Royal bottle made for a friend of mine. It is three loaf pan cakes stacked on top of each other. First cake I've ever made where I had to dowel it. I was happy with this one.

This is my 2nd attempt at making a pillow cake. Again, I was at my wits end. But I think I have learned considerable lessons for if and when I ever try this again (smile).

This didn't turn out like I had envisioned. 10" on bottom 6" on top, frosted in buttercream w/ fondant crown. I shouldn't have sprinkled the pink edible glitter all over it, I thought it looked gawdy after I did it, but too late!! I wanted the crown to sit on the top layer but it never got hard enough, so I wrapped it around the top layer to hold it up. Oh well I learned what NOT to do. Better luck next time!

After completing my pink Juicy Couture cake (including the logo with the 2 dogs), I decided to try out another one of their designs... the Princess with the crown logo. I had so much fun doing both these trendy cakes!

this is my first attempt at a pillow and it was much smaller than the directions. I took a rectangle cake and cut it in half. Not htinking how it was smaller i stil cut it an inch in for the curves when i probably should have been about a half inch. Lesson learned.

This is a fun cake I made for a lady turning 44. She's queen for the day and 2 of her co-workers are bowing down to her! It's a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and MMF.

This is a 4" stacked on a 7" iced in buttercream with fondant flowers. The crown is gumpaste (got the pattern from the ME website). The checkerboard pattern is airbrushed onto the buttercream (not as hard as I thought, but had some small overspray issues on one side. Cake was for a customer celebrating her mom & sister's birthdays, so the other side says "Princess of Quite Alot" on rice paper image to balance out the "Queen of Everything"logo on the front side. Sides of cake have cherry decor.

These were for my daughter's princess birthday. Made them so the boys had something that wasn't too girly. :) Thanks to Antonia. Always such an inspiration!

These cookies went along with the Doll cake. I had to cut these out with a cardboard cut out since my crown cookie cutters didn't come in time. Each bag had a purple and pink crown in it with lots of pretty glitters.

Cakes for a girl's first birthday. The little girl loves to dress in her older sister's tiaras, so the mom requested something related to "dress up." The fondant tiara was my interpretation. Main cake is dark choc with choc buttercream w/ bc and fondant decorations. Small cake is French vanilla tinted pink with fondant daisies and crown.

Christening cake for a little boy. As his surname is translated "crown", it was easy to choose a theme for the cake. Cake is covered with fondant, checked pattern painted with dust/vodka, balls and crown are made from modelling paste, painted with gold dust/vodka: Piping is simple royal icing

I made this cake for my boyfriend super bowl night. It is a crown like the one on the budwiser commericals. I just used a cookie cutter to imprint the outline in the cake then filled it in.

This is my first pillow cake. I was too nervous to flip the cake and carve from the bottom side since I wasn't covering in fondant to "hold it all together". Gravity is my enemy at times and I didn't want to risk it. White BC airbrushed with my own concoction of purple color & fondant tassels. Gumpaste crown (from a previous picture was for this cake).

30th birthday cake for a friend who loves coconut, her surprise party theme was "Queen for a Day". The top tier was a coconut creme cake, bottom tier white cake filled with rasberry filling iced in BC. Crown was made from fondant and decorated in royal icing, flowers are gumpaste. The first time making gumpaste flowers...lots of trial and error, I have never taken any classes but I was happy in the end.
