Here is the other cake I had due this weekend. Both are yellow cakes with buttercream filling, the body is a 9"double layer, and the head is made out of the animal crackers pan, the feet, and the tail are sugar cookies, adn the spots are MMF! It was really quick and easy to make, and they loved it!

All buttercream over white cake. Made for a balding farmer friend of my parent's. I accidently smashed the cake keeper lid on the cake. I could have cried--after all that work to make the frosting smooth!

I got this idea from Godiva (although hers is a million times better!). This was my first attempt at MMF. I used faux fondant to cover the cake, then cut out black splotches from MMF. The cow is MMF. I had a lot of trouble with the black color bleeding. I also had problems with the MMF sagging and then when it dried it cracked.

OK, so I couldn't let that poor lonely little cow just sit there! I had to make a little cake and place him on top. The cake in a 6inch torted and covered with MM fondant and then some BC piped around the cake and cow spots.
It turned out pretty cute I think

I really enjoyed making this cake, all the animal are hand sculpted using fondant, the barn is made out of gum paste and painted with gel colors and vodka. The golden cake was filled and crum coated with dulce de leche (is kind of like caramel) and covered with mmf. Thaks for looking!

This was done on a 12in base yellow cake with the cow made using the 3D lamb pan and the same yellow cake used for the base cake. I used the "durable cake for 3D...cake" recipe. All buttercream, the black frosting is chocolate bc. This was done for my sisters 17th birthday. The cake and I made a 130mile trip for delivery - made it without damage Yay! She loved the cake!

This is the cake I did for my nephew's b-day. The cake is iced in BC and all of the accents are in MMF. This is the first time I have ever worked with MMF and it was so much fun.

This is a cake I did for one of my friends. Cake is a vanilla almond pound cake, almond butter cream icing with fondant flowers, the cow figurine I picked up at a local dollar store.

I made this cake for my cousin's little boy who was turning two. Her son is infatuated with farms, John Deere tractors and holstein cows in particular, as my uncle owns a dairy farm. It was a last minute request so the local dollar store was able to help out with the farm themed props. Half vanilla, half chocolate cake iced with buttercream. The lane is graham wafer crumbs. Guests thought the 'grass' was really fun. Thanks for looking.

Chocolate chocolate chip cookies that kind of resemble cow pies. I made the sign using photoshop. Brought it to a BBQ they loved the cookies and the sign brought a good laugh too =D

I made a holstein-like cake for my dad's birthday party tomorrow. My dad is a dariy farmer, that's why I did the cow theme. It is covered in MMF, but the spots are Wilton pre-colored fondant in black. The cow is plastic and came from Farm Fleet! I haven't made anything for about 3 months due to moving.....and I was a little rusty. I think the new Wilton globes I used look cute though! I should've tried to make the cow out of fondant, but I ended up doing this at the last minute.

I'm so excited about this cake. It's for my son's 4th birthday, and I hope I've hit this one out of the park!!! It's a farm/john deere theme party so I went with an abstract of the theme. I really like the outcome. It's strawberry cake on top, chocolate in the middle, and vanilla on bottom. His request....Please let me know you thoughts on this cake.

These are the fondant animals that I made for my son's 1st birthday cake which I'll be making next week. This is my first time working with fondant and I found it pretty easy - like clay only stickier!

The cow is going to be sitting in a bunch of grass so that's why he doesn't have legs. The pigs are going to be in a bit of chocolate icing (to look like mud) so that's why one doesn't have legs. I'll add the green tops to the carrots with green icing when I put them on the cake.

I copied this from someone here on this board (sorry I can't remember who). But even though mine is not nearly as great as theirs I was proud of my effort. My friend loved it for her son's barmyard party. Thanks for the inspiration.

Made this for my daughter's 9th birthday. All BC with MMF bow. She came up with this desin, not what I wanted to do, but it's her Bday. When I was taking the pic, I stuck my whole hand in the side of the cake trying to move it. Guess I better go fix it!

Made for a a friend's birthday as a joke (he'd like to forget cows exist sometimes). Used a 9 in round and half of a ball...brown spots are chocolate buttercream...eyes are malted milk balls, mouth and ears are red fruit slices, hooves are twizzlers. I don't think I'd do twizzlers again, I'd try something else instead.
