This was for my son's 2nd birthday (which he shared with his little friend). This was made for a little playgroup party we had, simple and darn cute! Made one square cake and one round and cut each in half to make ice cream and cones. All butter cream, with sprinkles and cherry. The kids loved it!

This is an ice cream cake using the Dairy Queen recipe found on this site. The bottom layer is vanilla then crushed chocolate cookies and chocolate syrup the chocolate ice cream and then finally the icing. I split an actual ice cream cone in half, laid them on top of the cake and then piped ice cream to give it that swirly look. The cherries are real cherries that have been drained very well. The lettering was done with MMF.

Cars Birthday Cake for a three year old boy. It's a marble cake with buttercream frosting and fondant accents. The road winds all the way down the back of the cake. I got this idea from AmberHoney here on CC. I love this cake, lots of fun.

Made these cupcakes for my Daughter's garden themed birthday party.
Made a general "Ice cream cone cupcake". After cooled, I sliced strait across the top, Frosted the top and piped Leafs on the top and down the side. I then "glued" a 3" Flower Sugar Cookie that had been frosted with poor icing and sprinkled with "pink sugar crystals" to the top.

I was playing around with some cake scraps today and came up with these. They are mini ice cream cones (about 2") coated with choc on the inside, filled with cake truffles and then dipped in chocolate. Thanks for looking!!

I made this cake for my Daughter's 1st birthday. We had an ice cream themed party. The "cones" were for the kids. They are upsidedown strawberry cupcakes. The cake is white chocolate WASC with whipped chocolate ganache filling. It is frosted in buttercream with fondant accents, cherry and a gumpaste bow.

I used ice cream cones filled with cake and icing and "glued" them to the side of the cake with icing. I had to cut a notch out of the cake to make the ice cream cones stand straight. Cones will softem if prepared too early.

This cake is half chocolate - half vanilla with a fresh raspberry filling. It is covered in fondant and all the decorations are fondant as well, using luster dust to accent.

This is a rendition of the Cozy cone motel from the movie cars. I carved round cake into the cone and iced with buttercream rolled smooth and airbrushed. All the accents are gumpaste and piped buttercream. This was my first carved cake and although I see all the flaws, everyone loved it and it was a big hit!

I had to make a few of these for a birthday party at a school and I was
worried about how to carry them. Well we had pizza over the weekend and
when I saw the box 'tada' a easy way to carry them without them falling over
or getting pushed up through the holes when you sit the box down. I cut holes in the box the size of the cones and it worked perfectly. Each large size pizza box will
hold 25 cupcakes.

I was given a picture of this cake from a birthday supply catalog. I added the traffic cone on top to use as a smash cake and the truck and graham cracker crumbs to add more interest to the top. The original picture did not have anything on top. It's a chocolate chip cake with bc icing and fondant accents and a toy dump truck.

I made a couple dozen of these or a child's birthday party.
The easiest way to carry them is to cover a large cake pan with plastic wrap and cut an "X" into for the cone. If you use foil it will tear.
Just a helpful hint!

6 and 9 inch cakes covered in fondant with fondant leaves and buttercream ferns. The ferns came out kind of blob-y; I guess I need more practice with that.
Cake design was inspired by Meomi September desktop calendar.

Did these for my wife. One of her co workers were leaving and they had a going away pot luck lunch. They were super easy and super fun. Turns out if you put 24 of them in a half sheet cake pan they stand up perfectly. White cake with vanilla BC. and sour cherry candies. Thanks for looking.
